  • Its hard to tell where stock will be available of Godiva Chocolate Domes, as Woolworths website does not properly show this product or availability. Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre Woolworths had plenty, but only had the Coconut Domes available.

The Woolworths app works and seems to be the best way to tell which stores may sell Godiva Chocolate Domes.

Just a FYI, Godiva was rated the worst chocolate production/distribution company by Green America. They scored based on labour standards, certified Cocoa cultivation methods and attempts to avoid unnecessary deforestation.

    For the curious

Are you really surprised about this? The ones that got an A are the ethical/fair trade. Godiva is not in this market, so its strange to really compare.

      I don't care. Bargain is a bargain.

    • Wheres Valrhona?

So I guess it must be true.

But how do they rate for the chocolate itself?

      • +1

They are world famous. Its a very high quality Belgium chocolate, unfortunately these particular ones are made in Turkey, but still good.

So? iPhones are made in China but doesn't mean shit. Lots of textile also come from Turkey yet everyone buys Nike/Adidas etc. In the end, its made using Godiva recipe, just with Turkish manpower/machinery.

  • Someone reported this as they think it is out of stock or expired. As posted above, check the Woolworths App, and you will see its in stock, if you select a store that stocks this item, such as Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre. They also have stock as shown in the app, and was seen in store.

    • Saw this at Woolworths West Ryde two days ago, definitely in stores.

Yes, what a kerfuffle Godiva is in with this one, also got the recall from NSW Food Authority on NYE.

The coconut Dome product contains Hazelnut. Can it now be sold as a bargain?

      • No, for the obvious reason of liability. If you die, at least your relatives get rich

        • +1

Its terrible that some people may have received a Coconut Dome for Christmas and had nut allergies and a ruined Christmas. It just sounds very damaging to the environment, we know about the allergen now.

          • @Crownanchor: Sure, but in the increasingly litigious world we live in, it’s just not worth the risk to the company/regulatory authorities
