  • This vs galaxy buds plus or live?
    Does it support wireless charging?
Also how's the microphone when making/taking calls outside

    • +1

      Also consider the Soundpeats H1's.

Great sound and the microphone is very good. I have people who whinge if the call quality is bad but haven't had a single complaint when wearing the H1's or even just one of them, which is pro that the soundpeats have over the Jabra's, each earphone will work on it's own and give you both L/R channels where the Jabra's only allow the right earphone to work on it's own. The H1's case also supports wireless charging. Apparently the soundpeats app is not great but I haven't even installed it. If they suit your needs they are an excellent option and even cheaper than this. I think I paid about $85.

Currently it's $75 with lightning deal in Amazon: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B093T4756L/

        • Yeah, I am in the process of writing a deal.

Edit: And I took too long adding camelcamelcamel deets and youtube review links etc. I think the deal will be ended shortly as take up is very quick.

          • @Flyerone: Yeah it did not last long, I was lucky had a coupon from a past promotion and got it for juts under 65.. appreciate the heads up I was looking for a decent pair that could be independently used and controlled.

        • Definitely something I would've bought at that price. I hope we get another deal soon.

        • Still $75 to me, there's a 30% off coupon on the page when I checked today

      • How do you find their fit

        • I find they fit nicely, sit in quite close so not hanging out, and aren't easily dislodged.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7an0kWe-CY Picky Audio loves them

        • I must have funny ears because I can not get them to stay in. I only use them in bed laying on my side and it stays in, if I walk around they always fall out. I think I need those ones where the are little tails on them that go down, not a huge lump on the side

      • +1

Do the h1s support multi point?

        • Multi point? Please explain.

        • +1

          No

        • +1

good question! this is what I love about the jabras (maybe other brands do it too?), a really cool feature that I use all the time!

      • Any idea how these are with iPhone?

        • +1

Flawless with my iPhone 11. And the battery life on these are incredible. I find I tend to use these more than my AirPod pros - they fit my ears better and the bass I find is much richer - the app allows a lot of sound customization which the AirPods fail to be able to do. I also find talking on phone calls more natural than the AirPod pros which I find it weird that my voice seems muted when I talk. The updated ANC software patch was a nice little bonus and work ok, but the AirPods are superior in this regard. IMO these are great esp at this price - I got them a year ago for $179 and still happy with that.

    • There is a version of this that supports wireless charging but this isn’t it.

It’s a shame because I have a pair of Sony WFSP800N’s and the only thing that annoys me is I can’t just throw it on my charging pad and have to take a seperate charger when travelling.

      • +1

It's usb c - most Android / speakers /other devices use this now, all except iPhone users…
It everyone voted with their wallet apple will move to usb c also

        • +1

Apple doesnt want to lose out on that sweet MFI money

    • It's hard to answer this. It really depends on how, where you plan to use them.

I own the 75ts, Airpods Pro and beans. I generally use with my phone and a work laptop.

I use the beans more as they're more comfortable for me and I generally don't need isolation. I would avoid where isolation is required(eg public transport) or where sounds leakage may be a concern(eg offices). They are however acceptable on public transport.

I have the 75ts for multipoint. I can't really complain about them. I find something slightly off about their sound signature.

Based on the experience of owning multiple TWS earbuds:

      • If budget is not an issue, I would buy the Live and another set of in ear.
      • If budget is an issue, I'd choose these, mainly for the multipoint feature.
      • How did you find the airpods Pro? Planning to get them but not interested in anc

        • I find that my Airpods Pro is great for calls; haven't had an issue with them, even when making calls in noisy cafes. If not interested in ANC, perhaps the regular Airpods may be a more affordable option

      • Pardon my ignorance. What's beans? Is that glaxy bud live or something else?

        • +3

It’s putting baked beans in your ears instead of earbuds.

          Beans by Dr Dre

    • I had a pair of the 75t's and returned them. They were shocking for calls outside and most people complained they couldn't hear me.

I switched to the Galaxy Buds and have had great success with them for calls outside. Been really good for that. Can't comment on wireless charging.

I have been using this for a year. While the market has become very competitive it's important to know that Jabra had some of the first wireless earbuds on the market. The app is very good, sound quality is solid (there are several other brands like Sony that may beat 75t in this category) and the comfort is top notch. In my opinion, Jabra has the best fit in the ears and would be the best all rounder. It doesn't take a A+ in any particular category so it's the jack of all trades master of none. I would highly recommend these to anyone who needs an all rounder without any specific needs. They can also be sure that these buds will last a long time with no glitches or issues as Jabra constantly updates firmware.

    • +2

Also a thumbs up for the 75t which have been my main go earbuds for the past 2 years.
      Few notes though:
      - fit may not be for everyone (and that's with ALL earbuds). Need to try them for long periods of time (1~2hrs+), so would advise you purchase them from a reputable store that offer no questions asked returns.
      - ANC is decent quality, although honestly… these types of earbuds provide a decent seal that acts as a default ANC anyway. Hear through is a great option and Jabra implement it well
      - 75t work off a MASTER/SLAVE model>> meaning, you can't use the left earbud independently. Some may find this a deal breaker (especially for those that use their buds for long periods of time).

Outstanding value for imo an earbud that is still top tier (for sub $400 earbuds)
Officeworks have them going for $135:
      https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/jabra-elit…

The other outstanding earbud for me is the soon to be discontinued Samsung Galaxy Bud+, going for $118:
      https://www.harveynorman.com.au/samsung-galaxy-buds-plus-whi…
Sound quality is slightly inferior imo to the Jabra 75t (subjective), but battery life is damn amazing (12hrs+) not to mention - earbuds can be used independently.
Haven't had a chance to try the newer Galaxy Bud 2 (which I think has ANC + price is decent @ $170 (AU stock).

I have this for some time now - perhaps 8 months. One thing which often doesn't get mentioned is that this is one of the few wireless earbuds which support BT multipoint. With BT multipoint these can be connected to 2 devices simultaneously. I find this extremely handy. Remains connected to my laptop and phone. MS Teams call or phone calls - no need to disconnect and reconnect.

    • +1

I actually find the multipoint annoying and don't use it. I was finding when I was on a phone call and my laptop made a sound, or vice versa, it would disrupt the call I was on. It had the attention span of a distracted puppy.

      • +3

There's a setting in the Jabra app, to counter exactly this problem. It temporarily disconnects bluetooth from other devices when it has a call coming and then reconnects automatically when done. Works great.

        Find it here:
Jabra Sound+ app > Settings > Headset Settings > Call Experience > Prioritise Device Bluetooth device with call

        • Cool thanks, will give it a crack!

    • Thanks for the info mate :)
As you mentioned about MS teams and phone calls, just wanted to ask about the call quality, was it clear for others even though there is background noise ?

      TIA

      • +1

        [Not OP]
Teams itself does noise filtering on the desktop app, so no issues there.

Phone and Teams on the mobile, I found no issues, but always had the impression there was minor noise for the other person, but they always said it was fine.

For the laptop noise / phone call switching input sources, there's two outputs when connected to a device: calls and audio. If your laptop is set to the "Calls" output, any noise (such as a dialog pop-up, or a song playing) will switch it to the laptop. If you change the audio output to the "Stereo" output, it treats it as music / lower priority, and will not interrupt a phone call. (I get caught out every now and again for when I'm on a Teams call on the laptop I'll often switch the media over to the lower quality "calls" output so I can listen to music at the same time as the Teams call, and forget to change it back).

  • +2

These are a great upgrade over the 65s. Much louder volume and better bass, also have ANC support and use USB-C.

  • +1

Is the only difference with the Actives the IPX rating?
(75t active also on sale for $30 more than these)

    • +2

IPX rating and a rubbery coating that helps them stay in your ear a little better

    • I got the actives personally but my comments are for this deal. I wore my 65ts in the shower sometimes after the gym and noticed they act up sometimes after so paid for the IPX rating.

  • $138 @ Gerry ( for those with a love etc or giftcard etc)
    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/jabra-elite-75t-wireless-ear…

  • I bought the active version of these and they sound great, but I am having severe issues with battery life. Just listening to music on my phone I can up to the stated battery life, but when using it with Teams/Zoom the battery life is horrible - only about 3 hours or so. Anyone else have this issue?

    • Call duration is always lower than audio only because it's actively using mic and audio.

3 hours still sounds good considering

      • This makes sense, but Jabra support doesn't seem to think this is normal based on a thread I found on reddit here:
        https://www.reddit.com/r/Jabra/comments/irtzhb/jabra_elite_7…

If it is indeed the case, I would expect other true wireless earbuds to have the same issue?

        • I would say this applies to all Bluetooth right. Also they do a lot of background noise cancellation when you use the mic. I can't see how it can use the same battery as audio only.

I googled this and saw this older thread for airpods gen 1 which match my experience.
          https://redd.it/7pi22u

    • Yep same concern here and you don't really have a way of knowing the battery is low until it gives you the warning (~ 15-20 minutes before it dies). Since you have to use the right bud (master-slave), you can't change a single one at a time to use.

Also noticed that the case doesn't show the charge status of the buds themselves nor does it show whether the case is full (only red and green lights).

      • So you're having the same battery life issues? You can can see battery life percentages of the case if you use the Jabra app.

        • Ahh I'm connected to my laptop for MS teams calls, I don't use multi-point because I only use the Jabra for work.

I honestly thought the battery issues was due to it being taking calls on a laptop… :S

  • What is the difference between these and the active version
    https://www.jabra.com.au/bluetooth-headsets/jabra-elite-acti…

  • I like them and use them daily only issue I have is when I’m walking in certain areas they keep disconnecting, reconnecting…

  • Jabra Elite 75t True Wireless Earbuds

How are these different to normal wireless earbuds?

    • +2

Some are wireless but connected by wire between them, like Mpow Flame 2.

      • +2

Exactly right, and to clarify for spaceflight: "true wireless" is the established term to differentiate wireless earbuds like these or Airpods from wireless earbuds like the Mpow Flame 2 or first gen Pixel Buds where the earbuds are connected to each other by a wire. It's not a marketing term unique to Jabra.

  • Worst pair of earphones I’ve owned. A week in had severe connection issues, you cannot just use the left earpiece it must be used with the right otherwise you won’t hear anything (even if you’re on a call).

Sometimes they pause randomly almost like if one dropped out of the ear, and you’d have to either reconnect Bluetooth in your connectivity options or place them both back into charger case and pull them back out than reconnect them, this would happen multiple times a day.

The earbuds hurt my ears had to buy silicone aftermarket ones as suggested here on OzB

My suggestion for those looking for similar sounding that use them for calls is the Galaxy Bud+

I paid $116 in the recent deal, incredible battery life, fantastic audio quality, can charge one earpiece whilst listening with the other etc.

    • Sounds like you got a dodgy pair. I have the 75t Actives and have no issues with audio/bluetooth connection or using one earbud (it has to be the right side).

I do however have issues with these staying in my ears and they often fall out. Definitely do not hurt though.

  • How do the 75t actives compare to the 85t.
I have a pair of 75t active on hold (last pair in stock) but am thinking of the 85t….
    Thoughts……
