Part of nike sale on a range of products. (Some decent but not amazing prices).

I think this is a new low price for the alphafly's.

The other carbon-plate option from nike, the vaporfly's are RRP $310, so if they one day go on sale you might get them in the low $200 range. But if you were thinking of getting carbon-plated race shoes its not a bad price.

    These are the shoes that Eliud Kipchoge wore to break the sub-2 hour marathon. If you're judging them purely on their looks then you're probably not in the target market.

    Why do you say you should have got Vaporfly?

    From what I can gather its a preference thing. For some people Alphafly's feel better for others Vaporfly feels better.

    I'm very tempted get a pair but can't really justify the price yet. (Maybe if i get a bit faster and keep up consistency with running I'll think about getting a pair next year)

      Vaporfly's feel more natural. It's mainly the top tier elites that can get the most out of the Alphafly's.
      Pretty much all the runners in the top 10 in my city marathons and half marathons have gone back to Vaporflys.

  Great shoes for running, they last longer than the vaporfly's in mileage, but this is mainly due to alpha's being more of a trainer than a racing shoe.

  Train in alphas, race in vapors.

    From what reviews say. This is better than vaporfly's for heel strikers.

    You should probably correct your running style if you're heel striking too much.
    And yes, forefoot strikers get more propulsion from these carbon plated racers.

  Vaporflys can be had on the shopnikestores which are the retail stores for Nike in Australia for $264 at the moment.
