I am trying buy a new tablet. Which tablet is better?
Xoom has 3G at $400++ mark, TF 101 is around $300++.

Reason being? I realise xoom got 3g function. Maybe able to get xoom at around $300+ mark (Used).
both are the same in terms of specs and function. but i rather get xoom over tf maybe because im using the 3g version myself? im running it on ICS with 1.7ghz overclocked

There's a comparison of the specs, pretty much the same. I'd got with the tf because of the better screen, and Asus is the best when it comes to updates. Also like the optional dock which is definitely worth getting imo.
If you want/need 3G, then get the Xoom
I also think TF101 is much better choice. Since the tablet is 10" big. I don't think I will use it for 3G. Maybe use my phone as wifihotspot. Then connect my tablet to my phone, which should be a much better choice. Thank you for the comment.
well they are both the same and tf is much lighter. are you constantly on the move? wireless tethering drains the battery quickly unless you use usb tethering. i used to do that but find that to be too much hassle so i got a simcard for 1gb for 10 dollar. but i think tf would be much cheaper and if not mistaken, they come with the dock whereas the motorola dock is sold separately.
i dont know about asus but motorola? the last update i got was 3.2 update in december. i moved to a custom rom on ics and yea. which is way better than honeycomb.
If you already have an Android 3G device, you can tether your tablet to it via WiFi, meaning you only need one plan that covers both devices. The ability to use your Android device as a WiFi base is in the "Wireless and Network" settings, probably referring to WAPs (Wireless Access Points).
Saves you a couple of hundred dollars on the "with 3G" versions.
the TF if you get the keyboard. you get 2x the battery life, along with being able to touch & type.
Even the ipad fanbois who've play with it are pretty impressed.
Like Postulative says, you can just tether if you already have a phone with data (which is what I do if required).Ive had both tablets and the asus is pretty much hands down better minus the 3g. The screen on the xoom is pretty much unusable outdoors and on trains. The asus is lighter and has a better screen and is noticably thinner.
