Such a good game for new board gamers. Prospero Hall knocked it out of the park.

Worth it for this price, dont think just buy!

I wait till it’s back cheaper again and not from US.

      • From memory it was $33 and still from USA. Usually sits at $40-$44.

it has never been cheaper, at least not directly from Amazon Au

        • I rather get it from Amazon AU than from the Us for $5 more if that comes again. A lot of those board games from the US arrive damaged because of lack of proper packaging, when I see the reviews of the games from US. I bought recently different things via Amazon US and there was always something damaged. I had a sun glass stand which had a wood chip, but I love it, so I kept it. Amazon is really good, when it comes to solutions. I got a $10 promo credit for next purchase because of that and fixed the wood chip with a black pen to make it nearly invisible. However when it comes to board games I don’t want to accept damages. It’s just lazy not package things well. Amazon Australia is often overdoing it and even wrapping coke no sugar cans (free cans from a promo) individually.

has not been my experience atleast
in the last month I have received horrified, ticket to ride europe 15th anniversary, and ticket to ride nordic countries, and they all arrived fine
the packaging from Amazon Au is no different

Now Amazon UK is a whole different story

@docians: My experience has been closer to callthespellpolice. I have been disappointed with the condition in which many of my items from Amazon USA have arrived.

  • Need an extra $12.12 to qualify for free international delivery from Amazon Prime.

    Anybody got any ideas?

this for $20.05, not quite 12.12

ranked #4 among family games and 42 overall

      • Cheers. I got that too!

6 nimmt! or Sushi Go! would both be worth having.

for more like 20 bucks The Crew is excellent too.

Gotta second Sushi Go! but recommend getting the Sushi Go! Party. It's great. Very enjoyable family game, and perfect for the younger members (5 and up). Difference between the versions - Party allows you to select you own menu.

        • I much prefer the original, what Party adds with menu variety can't make up for what it loses in having a small deck that has to be reused every round.

The thick deck of the original adds so much to the card evaluations, if 10 sashimi come out in round one, maybe you don't play that one in your opening hand in round two, etc. It's far more interesting.

this game looks great on the table but the gameplay was pretty lackluster for us, the monster minigames are just way too straightforward. Much prefer something like Forbidden Desert as a lighter co-op, which has been available even cheaper than this IIRC.

    • Forbidden Desert as a lighter co-op,

I think both Horrified and Forbidden desert are aimed at children
and thematically, atleast for children, forbidden desert is sorely lacking, which makes for limited replayability

just as Century Spice Road and Century Golem are very similar, but Golem is preferred thematically

  • I skip it this time. Also maybe have a read and a look at the reviews. There are a lot of complaints about that it was delivered damaged. Packaging was missing, which doesn’t surprise me if they send it out as it is without being wrapped.
