We just signed a new vehicle contract and I was told that we are getting carpet mat set for free.
After going thru the contract, it is included in the contract for $199 and the number is added up to the total I need to pay. Let's say $19k
The salesperson insisted that the set is for free because if we do it on the website, the car price would be $199 more to include a carpet mat set accessory of $19.2K.
I just don't get it, seems something has been removed from the contract and replaced by a carpet mat set?
Anyone can help me with this?
Thinking just to give up on this dealership and let go of my deposit.
Thank you.
Pretty sure on car contracts they list all accessories at full price (or at least a price) and then they adjust the dealer delivery line so that it matches to your agreed price. As long as contract matches the price you agreed with the salesperson, then it doesn't matter how it is listed on the invoice? Did you get any discount on car? If not, then go on website to check driveaway price for your car, and if it is indeed the same as the price you're paying, then the car mats are "free".
