45cm Straight to Right Angle SATAII Cable $2 each with Free Shipping

73

Hey folks, this is part of a batch of cables I imported a while ago with the intention of reselling on eBay. I have only just got around to doing it. I have 90 or so of them and although the Auction expires on 18APR12 I will renew it if I have any left.

Stock is located in Melbourne for fast shipping to you, cost is $2 per cable with free shipping.

My intention over the long run is to do more things like this but for now it's just cables :-)

ABN is 14 653 943 878 (just to fulfil the guidelines)

  • Can you guarantee they achieve SATA 3 (6gbps) speed?

  • I will edit the title to reduce confusion but the ebay listing does say SATAII. From what I have personally experienced, SATAII and SATAIII cables are basically the same, SATAIII cables just go through a bit more stringent testing and thus can be guaranteed to achieve the higher speed. I have never noticed the difference but in the interests of honesty and clarity, no I couldn't guarantee that.

Nowhere near as cheap as meritline when they ship 3x for $1 or so.

Try beat this then its a good deal.

You are right. It's not as cheap. That deal is also expired. I'm a local seller and you'll get it fast. Is there a local seller that's cheaper? I'm not aiming to be the absolute cheapest anyway, just provide a good deal

Fair enough - but most people here it seems have more patience than dollars. By all means try but you're unlikely to get much love from this angle.

It's all good, people can buy or not I just thought I'd post it for anyone interested. Maybe some of my future deals will be more interesting :-)

    • I bought that meritline deal.. still haven't received my SATA cables yet. Not that I'm worried if I never get it. It's only a dollar.

To be fair, local seller usually charges more than overseas seller. If you don't want to wait up to 3 weeks, you might want to pay it bit more to get it earlier.

  • +2

the comments are so harsh because its not the cheapest but we should support our local sellers

considering what ebay will take in fees, paypal fees etc.. and postage, the seller isn't really getting much out of it. I'll give it a +, i think its a pretty fair deal for a cable you're likely to get a few days after you order it

He wants to build up lots of feedback on ebay and become a power seller cheaply, so he is getting a lot out of it.

      • That wasn't actually the idea, my goal is to actually have high turnover of products for a lesser profit to make my total living (eventually of course). I already have a decent feedback but more is definitely good but mostly a byproduct of this model. It might work or not, we'll see :-)

  • they don't look like they have clips on them - they will dislodge easily

msy sells data cables with clips for $2 each everyday anyways

  • +2

I've used them in several builds myself, no issues with them coming loose, if your case is closed then they are unlikely to come loose. However, if it's a concern go for the clips :-)

    • I prefer no clips anyway :P

I am always messing around with the cables, since they are grouped so close together it's a pain to remove a cable with a clip so close to another port, usually would have to unplug both just to hit the clip :P

I have also never had a cable dislodge or even feel like it would come out easily, motherboard ports are pretty tight :)

  • Meritline always have their 3x $1 sales happening, so not a bargain

    • do you have a link to their current one?

      • Even when they not on special they still cheaper at $1.19 each or 3 for $3.29 with free shipping http://www.meritline.com/straight-to-right-serial-ata-sata-d…

I have ordered 6 in total from Meritline for my HP Microserver

        • I don't mean to be snarky, but if you are going to say "They always have their specials happening" it's important to get it right.

Having said that, good for you with them being cheaper and a genuine question, how long do they take to arrive generally? I have never ordered from meritline before but was considering it for some other stuff :-)
