  • Batteries are great for use in household devices such as digital cameras, toys, remote controls, hand held games, 2-way radios, PDAs, flashlights,alarm-clocks, LCD-TVs, Toothbrushes, Shavers and portable audio players

4.5 out of 5.0 rating on Amazon

Edit: So, I received my batteries (I have had EBL before and I like them and don't leave them sitting), but the package was wet (likely just rain) and one of the batteries was slightly dented. I contacted Amazon and started 1 battery was damaged and stated it may have leaked and they issued a full refund with no return need (due to safety concern). This is the first time I have had this issue with EBL and still regard them as the best cheap rechargeable batteries, but really +1 to amazon for the amazing service. I'm not sure if Ni-MH can leak or if it was just rain water, but just heads up to people who took up the offer.

"Improved low self-discharge makes it still maintain 75% of capacity after 3 years of non-use"

FYI these do not hold their charge. You'll find them at like 50% when you actually need them. We have been using them at work for things like our blood pressure monitor. Slowly transitioning to Eneloops now.

    When 1100mAh became "high capacity"?

    • +1

It is high capacity in AAA. Same mAh as Eneloops Pro

      • +1

        My bad - missed "AAA".

    • +2

I thought that too, but these are AAA, not AA, so 1100mAh would be high, if they meet that spec

  • +1

Any recommendations for 1.5v rechargeable AA? 1.2v eneloops don't play nice in vr controllers.

    • +1

You should buy these non rechargeable one yesterday.

    • +2

What you need are Ni-ZN 1.6V batteries, here's an eBay link or here's an Amazon link so you can read some reviews.

      • +2

Agreed; but he also needs to read the "how to use NiZn; because they're way god damn pickier.

I use a few; you just need to care for them.

Personally I like those rechargable "mini lithiums"

With usb ports on the side and a 1.5v regulator internally; they work well.

  • Any recommendations for a charger for these?

    • +1

      LiitoKala lii-500

      • Would these work with the IKEA charger?

        • Dont see why not.

        • All the current IKEA chargers are crap, even the one that claims to be a smart charger. It's not.

They did previously sell a good charger until a few years ago, which was also called "Ladda". That one was good. If you have any other model of IKEA charger, I recommend you upgrade to a smart charger.

  • Mixed reviews, must be a lot of faulty ones

Don't expect eneloop level of quality. You get what you pay for with these.

  • I will keep the enneloop for good stuff However I find myself accidentally throwing out batteries that are in kids toys so these might be perfect

    • Agree. These are perfect for kids toys, remotes, doorbells.
Things that either don't use too much lower or need a ton

  • Tempting…

  • These are probably not the best Low Self Discharge batteries. But if you plan to use them within a few months of charging them, these are very good deal and holds well against bigger brands, especially given the price.

I have 20 AA and 30 AAA of these and I got about 8 DOA, and they go to 30-40% after less the 24 hours (so even when not in a device they lose 60-70% of the charge in about 12 hours).

Huge waste of money, and I really can’t stress enough how bad they are.
If you can’t at least get the ikea ones or Amazon basics ones then get some non rechargeable ones from a bargain shop.
These are complete rubbish and are only suitable for really low powered devices like motion sensor night lights where it’s low power and hardly used but even still I have to replace them once a week or two but the cheap bargain shop non-rechargeable ones last 3-6 months.

    • Thanks for the feedback. Just put a camel alert on these yesterday to power a couple of Led Lensers. Will give them a miss based on your and first comment feedback.

Avoid this product. I bought a pack and they don't last at all.
BTW can the EBL charger br used to charge Panasonic eneloops?

  • +1

1100mah claim on AAA is enough to put me off this brand now. I call BS given the field normally sits around 850-1000 tops.
Any higher it's either lying or not low self-discharge type.

1100mAh is not uncommon in AAA. Eneloops Pro are 1100mAh

      • Do tell? I bought some Eneloop Pro not long ago are they're 950mAh and I can't find any 1100's listed anywhere.
