Roborock S5 Max or Viomi S9 Robo Vacuum

Hi, it’s Black Friday with not much sale on the Roborock S5 or Viomi s9.

Looks like I have to pull the plug and don’t want to wait any longer. Budget is $700 and I can get either under that price.

I have a 4 bedroom house, 25sqm single, floor boards in living areas, carpet in room and two rugs in the living areas.
Have one dog that does shed area occasionally.

I like the Viomi’s self dirt disposal option but Roborock seem to be pretty popular choice within OZBargain.

Any advice? Especially if you have used either of the products?

    What is the internal area of the house in sqm? Single storey?

        I guess you mean 250sqm as you have 4 bedrooms. In that case. get the Viomi.

        If you really do mean 25sqm, then get the Roborock. Or just a dyson and manually vacuum.

          I think 250sqm sounds correct. It’s a 4 bedroom house with 2 garage.

          25sqm will be an apartment I guess.

          I do have a Dyson v8… which is now around 3 years old. It has aged well and I can still use it. Wanted something handy for daily automatic vacuum as I am finding it difficult to maintain while going to work most days.

    I wouldn't get Viomi again. It's software/firmware is very buggy and it gets tangled up a lot more easily than the S5, bigger gap between wheels and chassis.( I have both ).
    The S5/S7 isn't good value any more.

      Ah great! Good to know from someone who has both.

      Ebay has some deals and I can get upto $74 off on $749 price right now. That comes to around $670ish.

      Out of curiosity how did you end up with both?

      I'm assuming you're saying the S5 isn't good value as there is better out there, what would you recommend?

      I've got the AT max but a rello fell in love with it so I need a replacement.
