Just saw a good deal on a portable fridge/freezer for camping or trip. It is selling at $500+ everywhere else. Not sure if the quality is any good but for the price not bad value.

  • Purchased 29/12, almost 2pm on the 4/1 now, should I actually be worried it's still processing or is anyone else stuck like me? Hoping it's just the NY period but I'm starting to think something's wrong. (Note: Sold by Catch)

    Just got a refund notice from catch, talking about the impossibility of getting stock. Despite the website saying they have 9 left @$549.

    • Wow no way. I hope you didn't use Catch gift cards.
      It is bizarre that it still shows in stock - I guess they oversold their allocation at the cheaper price,

      • How is that possible though if it went for sale 3 times at this price? 25th+27th+29th. I bought on the latter but even some on the 27th-round are being refunded.. That seems a bit egregious holding onto money only to refund later.. Does that mean all people buying on the 29th will definitely miss out and be refunded? And if not, should those purchasing on the 27th be able to complain about not getting their order when someone maybe ordering later did..?

      Well its normal biz tactics nowadays if people don't contact them for refunds ( most likely case ) they will just keep the funds .

    • Two friends and I ordered on the 27th and got the refund notice (we didn't chase it up). Hopefully it's because they 'found' stock for you before ours.

      • Fyi when I complained about it being in stock again they gave an extra goodwill $50 store credit.

    Ordered 29th, got a message from Catch on the 5th "We just wanted to let you know there's been a slight delay in dispatching your order from our warehouse. We're still working on getting it to you." Not in any huge hurry for it so fingers still crossed.

    Made contact 2 days ago, tried to be SUPER nice when asking if there's anything wrong, they replied yesterday:

    —We just wanted to let you know there's been a slight delay in dispatching your order from our warehouse. We're still working on getting it to you.

    You don't need to do anything. Keep an eye out for your dispatch email with your tracking information.

    I paid with Zip though, so not sure if it's a headache to refund and are trying to complete the order but fingers crossed..

    • The tone of that email sound like yours is still coming, but as you say, it makes no sense as earlier order shave been refunded

      • I really hope so.. I think the guy above also got the same response, I just copy/pasted more of it. I tried being super nice, wished happy new year but it seems it's just an automated response.. Also, no refund yet, still 'processing'. Maybe it'll come in a day or two as it looks like the 27th's people are getting their refunds today. I'm be hella cut since I already noted I missed the 25th buy, by a second on the payments page it went oos.. 😭

    I've just noticed the current item now is sold and delivered by BBQ spit rotisseries when, even when I purchased it on the later sale date of the 29th was noted as being sold and delivered by Catch..

    Could there have been internal or logistics issues?

  • Well, the bastards cancelled my order of the 27th and credited $197 back as stupid Catch store credit with a 12 month validity.
    Ahhhhhh absolutely useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Yes, I ordered again
        Now I have useless Catch store credit - I have been on to them and they are 'escalating' it.
        1 dented, 1 not delivered. Not a good experience with Catch
        EDIT Yes, it was processing since 27th Dec and today when I checked it is "cancelled' in red

        • OMG NOOO. The same as me.. Let them know I will be escalating it too if mine gets cancelled. I've paid Club Catch all year and only used it twice up until December. Also missed first round on payment page. Some dodgy stuff is going around.. Considering mine was purchased on 29th, I should have the answer by tomorrow or Monday. Also, 3 sales dates and cancellations to 2 of them, with them only refunding seemingly timed from the date of purchase..? There isn't a system to notify all cancellations when a product is flagged in a mass-BS event like this..? Or are they purposely holding onto credit? Also noted just before, maybe bring up with them why the seller was changed from 'Sold and Delivered by Catch' to now sold by an actual named business. Don't let them palm off the excuse to the newly changed seller.

      • Yes, I requested that they pay me back with a gift card (exp 3 years) but they reckon it is not their policy and I have to have stupid store credit (12mths).
        Am considering going to ACCC because that is not what I paid with.
        I have not mentioned the dented one yet, because I still need to sent out the non-delivered one

        • That's true. Good idea with not mentioning the dented. It'll be great when they find out they need to replace one with the in-stock at $999, ones.. 😅

          That's true aswell, that's really poor form. I hope you get atleast the gift card back when it's all done.

          I'm assuming mine will be cancelled/refunded but it's actually late already in that sense since most have already had theirs returned I believe. Just a waiting game now.. :-(

    We've received an update from our supplier that unfortunately, they are unable to fulfil your order of Mammoth 37L Flexi Zone + Portable Fridge / Freezer due to an error calculating how much stock was available in their warehouse.

    I apologise that we haven't informed you sooner, our supplier has been frantically trying to locate extra to fulfil your order, but they haven't been able to get any more.

    On this occasion, the refund of the item has been processed (and any associated shipping costs) for the amount of $191.65 back to the payment method you used at the time of purchase. The payment will be reversed today, but please allow 2-5 business days for the refund to reflect on your account.

    You might be wondering why the same product is still available on our website. Upon checking, I can see that it is currently being sold and delivered by a Marketplace seller called BBQ Spit Rotisseries, where the product costs higher than the one that you paid for. We truly appreciate how disappointing it could be as you may still want the item however since the item is being sold by a different seller, we are unable to supply the product for you.

      Anyone had any luck contacting Catch? I'm not across my ACL, but they don't seem to be arguing that it was a pricing error, just a matter of stock. I would have thought they'd offer the option of waiting, especially given they've got stock through their market seller.

      I'll aim to contact them in a couple of days. I doubt there's a way to force them to honour the deal, but I figure it's worth a shot.

              I replied to then anyway with: This is totally unacceptable. Considering I'm a member of OZB and everyone commenting there was credited $50 for this ordeal of you holding our money for almost a month. Why did you feel the need to credit me less? Is it because my name isn't white-sounding? I sure hope not.

              I look forward to you correcting the amount credited. Otherwise I will definitely make some noise on OZB and ask why I've been one of the people most active in the comments section regarding the order updates yet still toyed around by your company.

              Poor sales etiquette, poor communication and now trying to short-change me on the apology. You should he ashamed of yourself..

                  Looking back on previous messages, for anyone else trying to push them on this. I would emphasise double checking correspondence between Catch as I just noticed one of their messages early on they claimed, "We just wanted to let you know there's been a slight delay in dispatching your order from our warehouse." And that was received on the 7th of January.. Meaning my order was there ready to be sent out but with a delay? And that delay suddenly made my order disappear..? Who's lieing to who?

                    @[Deactivated]: I think they just used a standard customer service type sentence about the delay, not a literal truth, at least that is how I would interpret it.
                    It is absolute baloney to offer you $20 after more than a month's wait, when everyone else got a standard $50 though. I think yours was one of the last ones cancelled.

Told her to escalate the situation because she's confused about an outstanding $30 in credit which I mentioned in the very first and subsequent emails..

    I got an email from catch this morning cancelling the order, I've contacted them and told them I still want the product, how does it take 4 weeks to determine that they now don't have enough stock? Either way I'm up for the fight.

      I basically got the exact same message and now have $50 credit (I used a credit card, and that hasn't been refunded yet). I would have preferred the fridge, but I think it's a nice touch that they gave the credit.

      They're even trying to shaft me on the store credit $20 (back and forth for 2 weeks trying to unconfuse Customer Service Michelle).

  • Finally got mine delivered today, I thought for sure they would cancel it but it was just shipped and arrived via Allied Express.

    Good quality unit, Primus Brand with a Secop BD35F compressor.

    So for those of you still waiting follow up with customer service.
