Sony XR-75X90J 4K FALD TV $2995 (Was $3695) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ The Good Guys

110

If you're looking for a larger 4k TV to upgrade to then this has got to be one of your options. If you're like me and don't have the funds for a 70"+ Oled then I'd be considering this. Best price that I've seen for the 75" Sony X90j as it was $3695. From most reviews it seems like a very good TV. It has the new Sony XR chip which everyone raves about. Other stores like Harvey Norman also have it on sale. Merry Christmas

I misread it as "FAILED" TV

    • Haha definitely not a failed TV 😅

If you are struggling scrapping up enough to afford this, Sony has refurbs for around $2700 (after 5% discount code) with free shipping, another $80 saving depending where you live.

Got this a few months ago and it’s excellent. Combo with a PS5 and it’s a dream! The android interface is pretty respectful, it’s obviously not super snappy like a nvidia shield but still quite smooth and does everything I’ve asked of it. Only downside of the tv is it doesn’t like being in a room that has a lot of light will get a bit of screen glare.

Bought one at the black Friday sales, very happy with it so far

    • how does it look in bright room and is glare a problem since it doesn't have the anti-glare coating?

I was concerned about glare as ours is facing a western window. I was tossing up between this and the Samsung qn85a as it is supposed to be better at handling glare / bright rooms (was 300 more at the BF sales but was willing to pay it if the value was there).

I went with the Sony in the end (after 2 hours going between them at jb hifi, much to the sales rep's amusement) as I felt it had a better screen treatment and muted direct reflections more than the samsung. That being said, I can still see the window reflections on the screen in the afternoon, but it's only for a short period during the day and we'll probably put in a blind anyway.

I'd suggest going in to the shop and have a look at it if you're in the fence.

Thank you for your input. I'm tossing between this and TCL c825. I'll be pacing like you soon

Wish they made this in 85". Think the price will drop much for the 85' x95j?

  • Good Guys and Bing Lee on Ebay has it for $2695 today
