  • That's a great price for The Beast.

  • is it worth getting the 54" over the 52" other than for the backboard size?

    • +1

The 52" is acrylic and the 54" is glass. Supposedly different rebound aspects. I guess it depends how serious you are about your bball.

Having recently done plenty of research on these, this page has some very handy info - https://www.firstteaminc.com/articles/acrylic-vs-polycarbona…

  • Anyone know how long this sale lasts?

Also the Stealth system is on sale as well, found via Google, $1260ish, although none in NSW, only a few in Vic and QLD.

    • Ends 03/01/22 according to each product sale page.

    • The website says until 3/1/22. It should be next to the "Was" price

    • Thanks, had a quick look but completely missed it

  • There is (was?) a recall on the beast. Last spoke to the manage rim store about 2 mths back. Rebel pulled all the beast systems offline, I'm assuming now that they're back online, the issue is fixed?

Not sure what it was, my guess is maybe it had something to do with the incorrect instructions mentioned in some reviews.

    • Apparently related to systems missing the appropriate stickers warning people about the dangers of dunking on them…thankfully not quality related.

  • Thanks OP - had been in the market for a bball system and this deal was too good to pass up!

  • So I read in a previous post to use their installers as its quite time consuming to set it up.

So delivery is about $150 and doesn't include installation? We'll have to engage the installers on our own?
