Amazon AU 12% Cashback on All Categories (Capped at $25 per Member, 11am-1pm AEDT 24/12) @ Cashrewards

11420

Hi everyone, and a Merry Christmas to you all. A hot 2-hour deal for our members with 12% cashback on every Amazon AU category, capped in total at $25 per member. Please read the terms & tips below carefully as it will save a lot of questions. Valid from 11:00am 24/12/21 to 1:00pm 24/12/21 (AEDT). Don't forget to sign up to Amazon Prime for a free 30-day trial. Thanks for your support as always. Please stay safe, and enjoy :)

  • Ensure your Amazon cart is empty before clicking from Cashrewards, as items added prior to clicking will not earn cashback. Items must only be added to cart after clicking from Cashrewards.
  • During the 2 hour promotional period, 12% cashback for Amazon Australia is capped at $25 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 11:00am to 1:00pm 24/12/21 (AEDT).
  • Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback.
  • Purchases paid with any Amazon promotional credit as partial or full payment are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, recurring subscribe & save items (first order only is eligible), Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals. Cashback is also ineligible on use of any codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field.
  • Pre-orders are eligible for cashback only if the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.
  • Purchases from Amazon US/UK are eligible for cashback provided the transaction is made via Amazon AU.
  • You must return and click through from Cashrewards to Amazon every time you make a new transaction/purchase. Click and subsequent purchase must be completed inside the 2-hour window. Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant).
  • For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc) and VPNs, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost (3x Camels is a tracking killer). Use our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results.

Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $10 each - tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser. Make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter so you don't miss out on all the hot deals coming up this month. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

Is this worthwhile vs waiting for boxing day sales?
are there even boxing day sales?

I'm kinda saled out, seems like we've had one a month since June.

    • I'm buying some household items like soft drinks etc to go with all the grog that I have purchased over the last few weeks! Stock up the snacks for new years

  • So this is 12% across all categories? Even the ones that are 0% right now?

Thinking about buying an oculus quest which I'm guessing should be in the video Games category

    • You can only get back a maximum of $25.

    • There’s a Boxing Day sale, so that will help make it cheaper too

      • No guarantee it'll be cheaper. I'll order it today and hopefully it won't be shipped by boxing Day and if there is a sale then, I'll cancel and rebut it

        • I meant as in its already discounted now, but you might have already known that

          • @Slut: No I didn't. Nice one - thanks!

  • Anyone know if items on Amazon paid via Amazon giftcards are eligible for cashback?

So basically does it stack? I buy a Amz giftcard from cashrewards giftcard store, then use it to purchase an item on Amazon during a cashback event?

    • +2

gift cards are eligible. shouldn't matter where you purchased them from

      • I ask as for Myer, purchases online using giftcards are not eligible.

Good to know cashrewards allows it for Amazon.

    • +1

@tightarse do you mind weighing in on this just in case.

Wouldn't want to miss out on the upside just for using my Amazon Account credit.

      • +1

You have to know the difference between Amazon gift card and promotional credit.

        • +1

Yes GC's are fine but not the credit.

          • @Yola: Still don't get it. Doesn't it all appear as credit.

Refunds for returned items and giftcard redemptions.

  • great timing… merry xmas

  • +1

buy $230 worth of goods to get the maximum cash back XD

    • $230 excl GST… CR won't cashback gst

  • +2

Two of my items saved for later jacked up in price!

  • OP, Are books (not Kindle) eligible for this cash back?

    • +1

      Yes, books are fine.

So does that mean store promo's where you just need to tick the coupon/discount is fine?

    • +2

No, as it’s considered promotional credit. Please read my comment here.

      • In that comment, the coupon is listed under "Promotion" banner.

Does it make any difference if it is under a "Voucher" banner?

        e.g.

        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09L4BW24R/?coliid=I3L4Q3KT2CYK…

It seems oddly specific to me that it is worded as "codes entered manually" are ineligible, like it is trying to include something, otherwise it would (or should) just say all codes are ineligible unless listed on CR or something

        Thanks

      • now that butt mentioned above…

so for nappy with a tick for subscribe and get 10% discount still eligible for cashback????

        • It is eligible for the first subscribe and save order

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of … recurring subscribe & save items (first order only is eligible)

  • Dang.. Just bought an Airfryer a few days back in time to get the $50 cashback from Phillips, but a purchase today would have just snuck in also and saved me an additional $45

    • +1

      $25 cap on cashback :)

      • yes but the price on Amazon on the XXL9650 on Amazon also dropped $50 just today. When I bought mine a few days back I got around $20 discount so add that to the $25 cashback and it would have been saving around $45

      • All good though . I have a few other things in my wish list that I can get

      • Hi TA, is the cashback eligible if my order consist of 3 subscribe & save items ? Not recurring subscribe & save items…..

  • -3

Can I order to same Amazon account through 2 different CashRewards accounts with max $25 cap?

  • We have lift-off.

  • Still says 7%?

    • me too

      • same here. but says 12% when you click through, then reverts to 7%.

  • -1

Says 12% for me, and that is what I got. My story ends here.

  • Thanks TA!

    Merry Christmas to all!

  • Will this stack with the $20 AMEX offer of spend $100 or more in the one transaction?

    • +1

      Different companies so yes.

    • if only you pay with amex card with that offer… it has nothing to do with CR

  • Gift certificate claim
Can i use gift certificate/refund balance , towards thsi offer?
    Please advise
    Cheers
    Dawid

    • A little bit of reading goes a long way… gift certificate = fine; if refund balance is promotional credit or somehow just attached to your account = not fine

    • Use your $186.68 gift card balance
Got this option in the checkout

      • +1

Read the T&Cs it's black and white.

        • Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback.
        • Purchases paid with any Amazon promotional credit as partial or full payment are ineligible for cashback
      • That's fine. You've applied a gift card to your account and have balance left after a previous transaction.

  • Will the move to cart items eligible for the cashback or not?

  • +1

Horizon: Forbidden West releases within 60 days of shipment so it will be eligible. Release date February 18. I just cancelled and reordered

  • Does anyone know how many gift cards I can apply per transaction? TIA

  • @tightarse is cashback eligible if I clicked the “buy now” button instead of “add to cart”?

    • Yep, all good :)

  • +3

The days of cheap quilton from Amazon are gone..

    • i needed this too, but probably need to wait for CWH or woolies etc to drop their price and then they'll match

      • yeah that's probably the go these days,
The aldi 24 rolls for $8 does the job for a decent price

        • Costco has good prices on poop tickets if you have a membership.

          • @Merlict: Nah don't have that nor live near one so all good.
Just have to look out for normal specials.

Ps. hopefully tracks, just got more bonsoy and greenies, both on special (& s/s) so works out alright either way

            Mr Hanky lol

    • Yeah was looking at tissue boxes

  • So does it show up on checkout screen? Can you just purchase with credit card?

  • Do items that have a promotional voucher say 5% with the wordings "Save an extra 5% when you apply this coupon." and a checkbox applicable?

  • Do we still get the cashback if Amazon withdraws the money at a later date?

    • +2

Yes. As long as item ships out within 60 days in the case of preorders.

  • Does anyone know if the cash back will track if you purchase through the amazon mobile app?

    • Please use the Cashrewards mobile app, which will keep you inside its native browser. Thanks.

      • Does the item need to be entirely purchased by amazon gift card balance to be eligible?

        • Not at all… partial is fine, provided the remaining balance is not paid with promotional credit. So a mixture of gift card and credit/debit card is fine.

          • @tightarse: thank you. When do we get notifications about cash back? I've purchased the item and I've yet to receive any notifications. Have I done it wrong?

            • @haryem: Everything is in the OP, but please see here.

              • @tightarse: Thank you for the reply, I wasn't sure about the terms mentioned. Have a nice Christmas!

                • @haryem: Not a problem at all. Have a great Christmas as well :)

  • recurring subscribe & save items (first order only is eligible)

Assume different orders/products you'd still get the 12% cashback on the first order?

    • +2

      Correct.

  • @tightarse For NZ, most of the items get free shipping for orders above $59. But that is applied as promotional credit during checkout. Does that mean all orders for NZ is ineligible for cashback

    • +3

Hi ace310, and thanks for the question. In all honesty, I'm not sure about Amazon cashback for NZ and it hadn't even crossed my mind to ask them. However, if it shows this amount as promotional credit, then you're out of luck unfortunately, per the terms. Sorry :(

      • +1

Bugger. Hoping you guys start to increase your presence in NZ.

      • Hey TA, got a question here, will the cash back be affected by changing the delivery speed for an existing order?

        • +1

If you've already put the order through, I wouldn't change it. Not sure what changes Amazon makes in the background that could affect commission, so best to be safe.

    • +1

It's fine, for AU buyers free shipping for $39 spend, and it shows up as promotional credit as well.

  • Can I use my partner Cashrewards account and make the purchase on my Amazon account, since my account already used up to its maximum?

  • +5

OK. Orders complete. Now the anxious wait to see if they track properly

    • Same

  • +1

Spent 20 minutes looking.. time to admit I don't need anything and just wanted that rush haha

    • +1

Same boat, have kept an eye out for things since this deal was posted yesterday, and still can't find anything to buy…

And I might think of that one thing at 13:01…

  • Purchased.
    No track yet.

    It was very quick before.
Now, I am keeping refresh with previous 'declined' tracking records. (previous tracking are correct)

    • +5

Please read dot point number 8 in the OP.

You must return and click through from Cashrewards to Amazon every time you make a new transaction/purchase. Click and subsequent purchase must be completed inside the 2-hour window. Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant).

      • Without trying to sound dumb, does the browser extension work for this or do I have to click though the CR portal?

Thankyou and merry xmas and a very happy new year!

        • +2

No need to use the extension at all. Just click 'Shop Now' and you're good to go. Even better, just use the CR mobile app to eliminate any issues with 3rd party plugins etc. And a Merry Christmas to you too :)

      • Thanks a lot for quick reply.
I clicked through from Cashrewards to Amazon.
        I only made one transaction.
I did it inside that 2 hour window.

I will wait 3 days to show into my account.

      • Good. Tracked now.

  • Kindle Paperwhite or Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition? Please recommend.

    • +1

Regular paperwhite. Rarely needs charging anyway and 8gigs is huge amounts of books.

      • Regular also has Type C charging now yes?
