Anyone after low tops might want to check sense, some of the more unique colour ways are around $40. Some high tops on special too but they're a bit more expensive.

Are you talking about https://www.ssense.com/en-au/ ?

These are fake converses and are not the real product; absolute avoid.
It is grey imports and is a replica product.
Converse chucks are meant to be low and great for lifting; I have owned a pair previously and have compared side by side to both products.
Kogan is unwilling to provide refunds or returns on this product.
Can already see, initial price is $60 from $150 from the original converse site.

    DO NOT BUY!

    • Hard to say if they're fakes. Even if they are, $50 isn't too bad for knock-offs and a lesson learnt. Probably should have done a bit more research before I pulled the trigger on mine. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

        Thanks for saving my money

I compared hand in hand with the legit pair I bought from official Converse.
Chucks are meant to make your feet feel low to the ground, this pair feels like a normal shoe.
        Converse logo is off too.

        • Did you do anything to get your money back?

          • @tim9800: I've contacted Kogan and obviously like all their reviews say, absolutely ghosted with no response and unwillingness to help.
They will mark your issue as resolved without a reply.

            • @AlphaTran: You can do a chargeback on your card, and report to counterfeit.com.au - I'm sure Converse would be interested to hear about it as well.

  • Caution: Fashion item only.Converse Chucks (and many others within this brand) offer next to zero support.

    • Chucks are hands down the best gym shoe. And since being bought out by Nike they have a cushion inner sole. Support in a shoe is kind of a myth, except maybe for running.

  • UPDATE: For anyone still following, I got my pair in the mail today and was pleasantly surprised - I received what I think are genuine Converses. The box has all the Converse branding, with the correct sizing sticker. The format of the sizing sticker is comparable to the ones I've seen on genuine Converse boxes. Finally, the shoes themselves match the pictures on the official Converse website (Chuck Taylor logo on the outside, branding on the insole, foxing, number of eyelets, branding on the heel of the shoe).

YMMV, but all things considered, I'm satisfied that I got the real thing. Probably wouldn't shop Converse from Kogan again.

(Will update this with images of the shoes I received in a bit).

    • There is no ''R'' in the Converse logo therefore it is not genuine.

Also, when you wear the shoe it feels like a regular one and are not low to the ground as you should be. Try one on from a retailer like JD or Hype and you can feel the difference in quality.

Obviously being a replica, they try to imitate everything from Converse themselves. However, even the box is flawed.

      • Also, when you wear the shoe it feels like a regular one and are not low to the ground as you should be

There's basically 3 types of chucks. Chucks pre-Nike = very close to the ground with hardly any sole cushion. Chucks post-Nike slightly higher off the ground due to added sole cushioning. 70s = highest off the ground with lots of support and best quality.

    • Yep these seem legit, got the white con 70s. Which seem the same as my brother's pair. Worth going for the 70s at this price if you like the white.
