I'm looking for a PS3 preferably below $250 and I'm willing to go for second hand consoles with warranty

    I have a great condition 120gb(the later version) still under harvey norman warranty, have games/random stuff but happy to sell separate.

    Have to go in store though.
    And I don't know about the old PS3s, since both of mine are slims (the 120gb is loud while the 160gb is quiet as).

    Personally I'd just wait for another sale. The last PS3 I got was $237 from JB and it was new.

      Why is the 120gb one loud and the 160gb one quiet?

      Any ideas?

        They're both slims but 120gb's the old one, 160gb is the new one.
        Mine also look slightly different; the shiny part where the power buttons are silver on the 120gb but black on the 160gb.

        The 120gb has been loud for as long as I've had it.
        Then again my friend, who also owns a 120gb, has said it's not normal but like hell if I'm gonna claim warranty for a little noise.

        Edit: Weren't you looking for a PS3 before? Hope you've got it by now and is now kicking ass in DkS. :D

          Theres two differnet 120gb models, one is newer and uses less power.

          I'm still waiting for a sub $250 160gb (quiet hopefully!) one to go on sale somewhere! I'm not in a huge rush for one, happy to wait for a bargain.

    maybe i will sell you mine if you want? i bought in december last year due to a sudden hype. bought it just to play fifa 12. has been sitting here ever since. the last i played was 4 weeks ago? 160gb slim. dont have much games either. bought it for 298 at eb games during christmas sale
