I feel somewhat that Ray-Ban's quality and prestige has diminished since Bausch & Lomb sold it. Still a good brand mind you and used to be my goto spectacles ever since I was a wee lad. Now I'm sporting a Vuarnet (Edge Classic) which I found to be truly of high quality.
when i went into sunglasses hut this week they already had the boxing day stock with discount labels in the bottom draws ready for boxing day sale , so will see what bargains boxing day brings and stock up for the summer ……
still have bausch and lomb raybans …. luxotica owning so many brands seem to have moved towards fashion rather than tech in the rayban lenses ….. and maui jim are into tech with their glass lenses but very expensive ….and bolle seem to have cut back on serengeti in australia , have serengeti photochromatic polarised glass …. something rayban doesn’t have but common in serengeti.
guess it’s keep an eye out for 50% of the better rayban instead of fashion rejects that need clearing ….
