In store? They're not supposed to but possible, depending on who you get.
Last time I tried (back when they technically did match grey importers), the manager was called in, several staff gathered around, everyone ummed and ahhed for a very long time trying to find a reason not to do it - then they simply refused, saying the item was "not identical stock" even though it clearly was. I could tell they weren't going to do it and no amount of arguing was going to change it, so I walked out and bought elsewhere for a similar price. I find many retailers are very difficult when it comes to price matching despite it being heavily advertised.

ok back, they do price match but you will need to do some smooth talking to get there. They denied me initially at first then I mentioned how I phoned up head office which they said yes and I reference their policy online how it also includes online store. At the end they obliged and added shipping on top and beat it by 5%

Hi there, very interested in this. I just purchased "koge hutch 1 draw desk" from office works today ($75). The exact product "ovela Logan office desk" is currently available from dick Smith and Kogan at $49. Office works refused to pricematch as the "name" was different.
I tried explaining that according to their price match policy, it states the 'product' must be exact, NOT the name. No amount of reasoning was going to change the outcome.
I'm interested, did the officeworks store you dealt with add the cost of shipping to your product price advertised on Dick Smith and it was still lower than the total price of your product advertised in officeworks?
