I've read that the Oppo Find X2 Pro that Telstra sell has some Telstra customised firmware and is able to do VoLTE / VoWiFi on Telstra.
But I was wondering if the "normal" retail model, say that mobileciti or wireless1 sell is also able to do VoWiFi with Telstra?
I ask because I have very poor coverage in the house, so VoWiFi is essential.
I note that the Whirlpool page on this has this warning:
Non-Telstra devices are not guaranteed to work or support all features. In many cases, if your device isn't using Telstra firmware, required settings for VoLTE, ViLTE, Wi-Fi Calling and SMS over Wi-Fi may not be present.
I have noticed that the full retail LG V30 & Huawei P30 Pro handsets work fine with Telstra VoWiFi, but I recall they were confirmed as working in Ozbargain posts. I cannot find similar info for the Oppo…
If anyone could share their experience I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
