Hi Rep, any chance you could put the same price of the Keychron K8 Wireless Bluetooth on eBay as well?
I sent them a message (On ebay) and they said they are unable to change the price.
Anything on the K2? I saw it on your Kogan store but no mention of what kind of switches they are.
These switches are…acceptable. Well made keyboard (K4), minimal key wiggle, solid. The key travel is a bit strange, has 2mm of travel where it noticeably hits the actuation point (without actuating) and then with a bit more force actuates. If you're a light tapper, go with the linear switches instead.
These do however absolutely need a wrist rest however. Either get the keychron one, or another/make your own.
Adding some foam also improves the K8 sound quite a bit.
Added yoga mat foam to the base, added a layer of PE foam to get that jelly epoch sound (yes, it works!), lubed the gateron reds with krytox, added durock v1 with bandaid mod and thicker krytox. Snapped them together with switch film. Overall, it was a very cool experience and I love the switches even more, despite the basic gat reds being pretty much the bottom of the barrel switches.
Really? I have the K8 which is supposed to be the worst offender, but for me it's a non-issue.
Can anyone recommend where to purchase lube?
Looking to lube gateron red and in future gazzew Boba u4s or bobagums.
Should the same lube be used for stabilisers?
MKBHD keyboard.
