    Dial colour Khaki

    Looks yellow to me…

    • Never trust Amazon specs.

      • So ignore all this?

@WatchNerd: Maybe they have outsourced ?

            • @jv: No, the pic of the caseback shows a 7S26 auto movement.

              • @WatchNerd:

                Hacking? No

                No deal for me…

                • @jv: It's a hacking and handwinding movement. Orient is owned by Seiko, but they build their movements in-house.

Specs sourced from Long Island Watch:

Movement: ORIENT Cal. F6722 Automatic, Hand-winding and Hacking
Case: Brushed Stainless Steel, 42.4mm x 11.6mm thick.
                  Back: Solid Screw-in
                  Crystal: Hardened Mineral
Band: Brown Leather, white stitching. 22mm
                  Water Resistant: 100 meters

  • Looks good but the case size shocked me, expected it to be 36mm or so.

Orient usually tend be bigger, even their dress watches tend be 40+ mm

It's a normal size for pilot watch, as historically they were supposed to be easy to read watches, and you can find even 55mm fliegers.
If you just like style of this watch, then check Seiko SNK803 which is only 37mm in diameter.

  • Amazon now does no label auspost returns, and with free returns for these, clothing, and shoes. Been returning plenty lately. So easy choice to get one and have a look

If you look at the price history ( steady drops over two weeks), it’s one with Amazons dynamic pricing. Sometimes it takes as little as one sale for them to bump the price back up. Otoh, it might have dropped further if op hadn’t posted it.

      Amazon at its finest /s

  • I am getting sick of Amazon sending watches in padded bags.

Big dent on the outer Orient box, inner looks fine, but not exactly a good look for a gift.

Ordered a replacement, hopefully it will be better. (Btw, looks like the particular one that I got was recently returned, with time already set and still running, probably another person not happy with the dent)

    • A mechanical watch can never not be "set", unless the crown is left out which you do not want.

Unless, by some miracle, the time was set exactly to your timezone (and still accurate) then that would be odd. But if it was just ticking away, that would be considered normal.
      The dent, not so much.

      • the time was set exactly to your timezone (and still accurate) then that would be odd

Thats what I had, so someone must have just returned it and it didn't sit on the shelves long enough for the reserves to run out. Date was correct, right until I went to change it and had to go around the entire month. Time was about 10 minutes slow (or maybe fast? can't quite remember now, but it was close)

        • Yeah that is very odd. It would be one heck of a coincidence otherwise.
