THIS IS A WEIRD ONE, SO HEAR ME OUT
First up, the game has a good metacritic score with a 79 and 8.0 respectively. Limited number of reviews though.
Secondly, I'd never heard of this game until today and the reason being is seemingly because it's only been on sale once EVER. Otherwise the publishers just seem to keep dropping the RRP, which now sits at $5.99.
Now onto the game itself…
This runs on Unreal Engine 4 and clearly had a small budget and/or was made by a small team. This is most evident in the menu layout.
For those familiar with UE4 games on Switch, you know this will mean a fairly low resolution and the occasional performance hiccup.
The gameplay is built on the premise of games like Marble Blast (or other similar physics-based marble games of the past), but as a racing game, yet doesn't stick to the generic course structure found in most racing games. There are Mario-Kart-esque power-ups and most courses resemble more of an obstacle course than a race track (which is fun).
Also supports up to 4 players in split-screen, 8 in local wireless (who uses that, though?), and perhaps rather optimistically, up to 20 people online. I haven't tried online yet, but I assume it would be entirely dead.
TL;DR
This is a racing game with marbles that has substantially dropped in price over time and I think it's fun and worth the $6. Just don't expect great graphics.
Also who decided on that name??
