I always like to try out new mice so KPA would have my vote.
For back up, I'd just keep an eye out for a good deal on a second-hand RVU instead.
just realised they've discontinued their Tyon/Leadr mouse. What a pity… now everyone and their mother is making "minimal" mice with at most 2 thumb buttons competing for the same customers.

I already have a viper ultimate and loved it so it would be like a backup while I have the first one charging on the dock and its really convenient, on the other hand I have always wanted to try out a new wireless mouse and the kone pro air seems great with really vibrant RGB-im a sucker for rgb vomit.
