I know i am being lazy, but surely lots of people are thinking the same thing. I would expect a wikipage to pop up in the future (not sure if there's one yet).

Not sure if theres a forum post on this already, i had a look, but couldnt see anything.

    Some got items at the clearance. Most didn't due to mostly staff but some user brodening.

    The rest of the thread is made up Dick Smith puns (some funny, some not) and those who are negative voting the deal to outweigh the positive votes.. For the next x amount of months expect every further Dick Smith deal to be commented on/negged because of this clearance sale just like Megabuy (servers) and CatchoftheDay (crashoftheday sales).

    Friday there was a plan for bargains
    saturday there was talk of bargsins
    sunday church then making of plans to get said bargains
    monday ZERO Bargains then the inability to move on from the thought of said bargains

    moral of the story dont post inactivated bargains ie can i get it now if not do not post

      Moral is that by the time people can confirm the bargain, with a clearance sale, there's probably nothing left. So moral is let them post, its totally up to you to go there. Posting it doesnt mean you must go….

    Went to Bendigo DS at 8:30AM
    Store opens at 9
    only 10 people
    8:45 - 50+ people walks in the mall

    How the hell I could compete with those 10 ladies with 20 kids in the shopping carts. One lady kept pushing me when the door opened with the cart and saying sorry I have to do this. Felt sorry for her but she delayed me and couldn't catch anything.

    PS: The staff took the most of it. There was no single DSi but the website was showing in-stock.

    I saw multiple comics where honest staff said there was stock and it was out back, however they were followed out back by troll staff who did not let them sell the items to customers

      I didn't even bother to read any of it. When I came back to Ozbargain this afternoon, saw the 350+ neg votes on the front page and I knew it would be just a whingefest.

    Let's think back to the hp touchpads???? Staff kept most of the stock… I got one, thousands didn't. It was limited stock.
    Anyways… I don't recall 300+ negative votes.. Half the neg votes with the dse deal are blaming staff…

    An internal staff sale get leaked. It was internal because of the lack of stock. People assume they have 1,000,000 of each item, and that DSE is going to sell everything in the store at a 95% loss. People go into store to find that they assumed wrong. Lots of whining.

        I work for Woolworths, I think I know a little more about it then you do. Basically, whilst all the items were meant to eventually go on sale on the 12th, there was going to be an 'exclusive' period, if you like, for staff card holders. When the list got leaked, head office made the decision to make it public from the 2nd. The reason for some stuff not being reduced yet is because they are planning on making a catalogue item out of the sale, and thus, items with higher stock can actually be advertised, so they'd prefer to do that.

      wasnt an internal staff sale, otherwise DSE wouldnt have confirmed it as a normal sale on FB and twitter.

      Chatswood chase has xbox 360 Assassins Creed 2. Doesn't show up in the system (apparently) but there's a copy or two on the shelf.

      Also plenty of wii mat covers and dsi accessories.
