Everyone's favourite Mutti is on special again!
I know that $1 per tin is the sweet spot for these, but still a good price if you're running low (like me).

imo the taste of Mutti can't be beat.
I've tried other ones (such as ALDI) and they're fine for sure, but Mutti just has a freshness that you can't get with other brands.
Fresh home grown tomatoes leave these cans for dead…
I'd never use fresh home grown tomatoes to make a pasta/pizza sauce. It's a waste, unless you have an abundance that's about to go bad.

You've never lived…
It's a waste
It's only a waste if you don't use your tomatoes.
Yeah, but you use those for things like caprese. Grow some basil to go with it.
And in the middle of the tomato plants you can grow a little ingredient for the brownies.
Cacao tree?
Only two things that money can't buy and that's true love and home grown tomatoes.
Having just changed to these recently. It's night and day and I'll never go back to the cheap ones!
I haven't tried the ALDI ones, but Mutti tomatoes are more flavorful and sweeter than the coles/woolies brand italian tomatoes.
Also I prefer the finely chopped or crushed to diced. It feels to me with diced they use less ripe tomatoes because they hold the shape better, but don't taste as good.
60 cents in Coles.
Got a link?
@CrispyChrispy: Not the same. I was sceptical of Mutti being better than average but they, really, are.
They are usually on the bottom shelves so sometimes hard to find. Woolies have them too sometimes. And IGA have Black and Gold for the same price.

Exactly, just like me!
Fortunately I went all “Broden” when they had the twin cans for $2 and cleaned out the self. I’ve still got a few left over so I’m set for a tad longer.

Yeah, sometimes I’m just a bitch.
I usually buy them from Colesworths when they are $1 per 400g can. I guess I will be waiting until after Xmas for the next sale.
Italian diced tomatoes 400g is 69c every day at ALDI.
What am I missing here?
