The pen holder is removable which can be useful if you want to keep the pen in a bag.

The case is fine to use if you remove the pen holder. Not sure why reviewers don't mention it. Lots of forum commenters only go by reviewers too, so they have no idea that it's removable.
Of course, it's still a flapping cover so it's not going to be as "agile" as a normal case. But the flap also gives you something substantial to hold when you're using it.

It depends on your usage habits. Opening the flap is more difficult one-handed, but once it's open, the flap gives you a solid thing to slide in between your fingers to hold on to the phone.

Yup it's a bad choice for people who take selfies with the rear camera, but not everyone does. So it's a viable choice for them.
If you need front screen protection (e.g. you keep the phone in bag or handbag), a case with a cover is one option. It's definitely less agile than a no-cover case, but you do get screen protection in return.
If you don't need front screen protection, I'd definitely go for a "normal" case.
Any users would recommend other case designs over this? S Pen not necessary.

Was looking at the leather. But I wipe my phone to clean it, so I was scared the leather won't last (and I have seen reviews where they have brokened/snapped
Aramid Case has been the best one one I've seen and used. Closest to using it with no case and looks amazing.
Fold 3 needs this special S pen designed for its screen. My experience: s pen is good. Cover is s**t
people say dont get this one because it will make the phone become much bulkier
(IMO) if you've bought the fold I hardly think how bulky it is was a consideration haha
I think everyone's aware of how thick it is, they wouldn't want it to be even thicker than it is. So it an even bigger consideration than normal.
This cover is terrible. The cover has no magnets and just flaps around. Folding the cover back also makes the phone unwieldy for single-handed use.
I would not spend extra money on it.
Got it as a bonus and the only thing I use from it is the S pen holder that detaches, but that isn't worth $70.
Don't buy this case. Waste of money. Buy the pen separately if you need a pen.
I don't use this case anymore. Got a case that covers the back and a 'bumper' around the front. Flip cases make it difficult to use the front screen one handed. Also can't use the selfie mode camera with a flip case.

I had an official Samsung silicone case for my S20 and found that it kept catching on my pants pocket when I insert/remove it. I switched back to the leather case. I suppose it depends on the pocket material.
