Looking for Cheap Robot Vacuum and Decent Stick Wireless Vacuum

Looking to see if I can find a gen 1 xiaomi robot vacuum because it should be cheap now right..

Otherwise the cheapest robot vacuum cleaner you guys recommend.

I also need to upgrade my $30 big w contempo stick corded vacuum cleaner to something better like a cheap wireless stick vacuum but have not seen any this black friday.

If there is nothing cheaper worth buying in the robot vacuum cleaner department I might just have to bite the bullet and get the viomi for $499 but ideally trying to spend less than $350 so I can budget in the stick vacuum also.

Mostly carpeted floors.

    • Is this gen 1

  • Don't know if you ever got an answer, but I'd probably get a Dreame v10, somewhere in the vicinity of $200

    • That seems to be the one to go for.

      Thanks.

    • Following up on this someone said it is not so good and flicks dirt around.

Currently looking at the Xiaomi G10 but still undecided researching some more.

  • Merged from Under or around $200-250 Cordless Stick Vacuum Looking for Recommendations for and against

In the market for a cordless stick vacuum for mostly carpet but there will be some hard floors.

Looking to spend under or around $200-250 but no more.

Don't need anything too sophisticated just ease of use, convenience and longevity.

Made this thread to ask for any good recommendations in this price point or ones to avoid.

Reading a few other comments some one has recommended against the Dreame V10 which is a pity because that was my top pick.

Have been reading through the ebay sales and nothing really stands out.

So looking for other users opinions or reviews on this.

If you have a cordless stick vacuum around or under the $200-250 mark I am keen to know what you think about it.

    Thanks.

    • I use the Ryobi R18HV with RV-06KIT accessory pack. Great for cleaning all the nooks and crannies, especially beside car seats

      • How much does it usually go for or how much did you get it for?

        Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh just saw that its a handheld mainly for cars.

Yeah this is a good find might be good for a small bedroom.

        • I found the vacuum skin second hand and I already had a Ryobi battery. I couldn't get the accessory pack any cheaper than Bunnings and it's not exactly cheap. It's got some pretty handy attachments in it though. You can go check them both out at Bunnings.

If you have batteries from another brand, I would check to see if they a vacuum to suit. I think its worth spending a bit more for a decent one as should get a lot of use over the years.

          • @emblurr: Just to clarify this is the vacuum you are talking about correct?

If so thanks for the suggestion but I am looking for a stick vacuum something that I can do a few rooms with.

I use a xiaomi portable vacuum for tiny room pick ups like after having some chips or something but anything larger than spot cleaning I can't use a handheld for.

Perfect for a car but a bit hard for a few rooms.

Thanks I appreciate the info and I am sure others will too.

Almost impossible to get replacement batteries, so consider them disposable after the battery dies in a year or two.

    • I'm happy with my Dreame V10, have had one for almost 3 years (might have been an older model, but equivalent to a Dreame V10).

Reading a few other comments some one has recommended against the Dreame V10 which is a pity because that was my top pick.

You will always have people recommending for / against particular products based on their own personal experiences. Anecdotes don't mean anything. I would suggest the Dreame V10 not because I own one, but because it's a generally popular model that seems to be good value for money.

FWIW, I would also have a think about whether a stick vac is the best option for you. Hard floors are bread and butter for a stick vac, but carpets can be tough, especially if you have really fluffy carpet. I've also generally found that the battery life on the V10 is just not enough to vacuum an entire house - it's probably good for a small apartment or for a few rooms. For an entire 4BR+ standard sized family home, you'll probably need a big vac to do the whole house every now and then, and a stick vac to do more regular clean-ups of the high traffic areas.

You will also need to factor in the cost of getting both the hard floor head and the carpet head. If you only get one, I would get the carpet head. The carpet head works reasonably well on hard floors, but not vice versa.

What does the standard purchase come with attachment wise?

It does not need to be perfect just a touch up everyday for a small sized office think like bank carpet floors not fluffy at all just flat office style carpet.

The vacuum will only be used for a few rooms barely more than a small studio apartment in size so I don't need anything major but something that can handle a small apartment in size maybe even smaller.

Ok cool I will keep the V10 back in my list.

Right now it is looking like G10 or V10 or whatever else I can get recommended or find.

    • Xiaomi A9. Had it for a year, still working great with frequent use, and can vacuum a 4 bedroom house on a single charge.

    • Better off going for the V8 or something similar in Dyson. They make the best vacuums.

      • price wise Dyson i think is a little bit expensive

i am just looking for bang for buck or value since it will be for a small area nothing major

even for home i might get the same one as it is nothing major but i think for home i will get a gen 1 robot vacuum from xiaomi or whatever is the best overall value one today

Dyson is tempting though but I think a Xiaomi will suffice

  • bruh why u gotta re-post same questions stahhp

    https://www.panmi.com.au/product/viomi-handheld-cordless-vac…

  • There's a cordless stick vacuum (wide head) in the Aldi catalogue from 8 February, for $99.99. No idea how good it is

    • My gut feeling tells me it will only last a year then stop working break down.

If I can pay double and have it last 3 years I'm already ahead.

I think $200+ is the minimum for me for good value.

My gut feeling says unicorns don't exist in this category you get what you pay for.

So going to start at $200 and go up if I need more suction or battery life or features or longevity.
