Can you imagine how many people are going to be at Carindale shopping centre tomorrow morning for the grand reopening? Yuck :S
And of course by tomorrow, I mean… today. I really should get to bed.
Yes. Your are wise! (I slept in.) I avoid crowded supermarkets.
So many people will be grabbing whatever is closest to the checkouts, even if they don't want it, just to be first for $20 & a cupcake.
Wonder if IGA & Aldi in the centre will also have promotions?
So a competition, where you buy what you may not want - which is no bargain!
a $100 gift card would be the obvious choice
will be gone in minutes…
Strangely, at 3pm still 30 left!
Definitely not OzBargained!!! Probably still a few $20 gift cards left tonight.
Ha - slept in, & went shopping at 3pm. Coles announced there were still $20 vouchers available. (But no cupcakes left.)
Checked - 30 of the 200 were still available 7 hours after it started. They said few knew about the promo - buy $100 & take receipt to service desk to claim gift card. Everyone just shopped & left. Too many distractions of great specials, lots of free food samples, & a huge bunny with chockie eggs.
So, stocked up mainly on products on special - many 1/2 price. Bought $100.05, with savings of $40. Bananas were 59c/kg. They were announcing the offer as 'buy 101kg potatos ($100) & get a $20 gift card'!
Great. Just a short walk away. New Coles store - so hardly a celebration of a store renewal.
I love a bit of competition & a $300M redevelopment means freebies.
Not to be left out - Woolies Carindale has a competition - win $15000 groceries.
But I'd rather sleep in in the morning than scramble for a $20 gift card & cupcake.
