Can anyone recommend a long toaster? I would like to be able to toast longer slices of bread. I have seen a few around, but the reviews are poor.
Cheers,

Because OP wants toasted bread not squished bread?
My sandwich press has pressure settings
Breville Bit More Toaster. 4 years of use so far and zero issues.

I have the same, but in standard white plastic finish. It's really good for long bread (I buy those long turkish rolls from Woolies, chop in half, and toast them for my lunch)
Thanks @Hybroid, I think I will go with this one.
The reviews are pretty mixed (horrific).
I wonder if it's just ppl getting bad luck, since I haven't seen a single toaster w/o 50% bad reviews.
If that's the case, why spend $50 vs $100 vs $300?
People are more likely to complain when something goes wrong than post positive reviews when everything works fine.
Another year has since elapsed and still no issues, works perfect.
Yeah in that case I've been trying to see any difference and every toaster seems to have he same build inside, the elements, lifting thing…
You mean like a 4 slice toaster, but it's setup 1,2 - 3,4 , instead of 1-2-3-4?
I think OP means a 1 - 1 setup
Do it under the grill?

We have a KitchenAid two-slice (long).
Actually, we have three as I kept complaining and KitchenAid kept sending new toasters.
I can't recommend them; we just put up with it.
Thanks everyone for your comments. Much appreciated!!
Why not a sandwich press instead?
