I will be organizing an event on Friday 17th Dec 2021 at 6pm in Adelaide CBD.

Last time it was Free Pizza in the park at the city. Plus cricket and other outdoor games.
This would be good for people concerned about having to quarantine in case of a covid case.

if people don't mind driving, i was out at the new 'sidewood estate' on the weekend, they've got bocci, lawn bowls and finska for free in their beer garden which was pretty cool, also some parks for the kids to play, but city will be easier :)
ambassadors have an 8ball table and function rooms that can be hired (but if it's only 6-12 people, wouldn't even need to book) … they've also got some new drink & food specials … i think similar around the corner (rumored 10$ steak at the woolshed)

it's before you get to the main street, it was pretty quiet last friday but we were there around 530
If anyone is interested I could actually arrange a gamer themed event at our wargaming club dirt cheap.
They already do tabletop and boardgames there, our other club does video games and is going to start hosting video game tournaments there and lan parties, and there is a park outside as well, can order pizza in from the 4 pizza shops in the area.

The venue is always hosting stuff for table top as well as other gaming, Adelaige game will be hosting lan parties and videogame tournaments, board game broker hosts board game nights there.
Great little social club to get into.

FYI for those that didn't go last time it was held in the city. It seemed as if no one would go but approximately 30 went and it was held in the park at a similar time of year, free pizzas were given as well as ozbargain t-shirts. Cricket was played and good times were had.

Any update on this event? 17 Dec is in 2 weeks — has venue been confirmed?
Wherever it is you'll need to check whether it's only for vaccinated and if they honour mask exemptions. Sounds like it could be a hassle, but I probably won't come, too many complications this year
I'm keen - please organise something! Pizza in the park sounds great but anything in the cbd works.
