I know when you order with Woolies, they process the order/payment on that day, even if you pick up after that current catalogue finishes, so you pay the current prices.
Coles used to process their order on the day of the pickup.
Does anyone know if Coles now process the order on that day, so you pay todays pricing, even though pickup will be during a new catalogue?

eh, it goes both ways. If you've ordered something that's not on special to be picked up later, you can go through checkout again if an item goes on sale later to get the better price.
Also means you can order specials now when you know you'll need it in the future, but not yet (e.g. order it before the special ends, and select a pickup date after the special had already ended. )
Pricing is based on the time/date of when you ordered it, not when you pick it up.
If you try and modify an existing order, it will warn that making an alteration will cause it to re-price the entire order (e.g. what was on special last week when you ordered may become full price as it's not on special when you modify the order).
