Was looking at getting a Dell XPS 13 but wanted to know if there are any cheaper options out with similar performance
Looking for something:

  • Light and compact (ideally 13 inch)
  • Not too fussed with the screen as majority of the time will be using a monitor
  • No preference with CPU
  • 16 GB RAM
  • $1-$1.3k budget
  • Hopefully Black Friday deals can help get more bang for my buck

    I highly recommend the XPS 13. You can get similar specs for less, but build quality and support is the difference with Dell.

      I also have an XPS13 however the 2in1 which comes in a little more expensive. We have two in the family and both are flawless.

      You hear plenty about problems with Dell but my experience has always been contrary to the case. Plus people are more inclined to post bad reviews than good reviews so naturally you read more about the problems than the good.

      The only problem with the XPS is you'll need a USC C hub for monitor or HDMI to USB C cable as well etc.
