Looking at buying a T.V. (Samsung PS51D550C1)

hi every one im looking at buying the Samsung PS51D550C1 ive found it for $898 at jbhifi, does anyone know where else i could find it in south australia cheaper and is it a good tv, thanks.

  i was thinking of getting it cheaper by getting places to beat it, but i cant find it anywhere to compare, so can anyone please help, thanks heaps

  do a search. this featured on ozbargain every 2nd week late last year. should be paying no more than $700.

  thanks Dwain for the reply, i had a look and couldnt find much only one for $770 which is expired,is there anywhere where it is $700?

  I originally saw this TV at JB HiFi two weeks ago and was totally blown away, but by the time I did my research and called them back the next day, they were completely sold out at that store, and the rep said he didn't think any of the other stores in metro Melbourne had any left either. I ended up buying mine from bigbrownbox.com.au for $789 (sold out right now, maybe for good) with free delivery, and was very happy with them.

  Now that it's set up, I can say without a doubt that it's the best TV at that price point, even without the 3D functionality, which I didn't really care about and probably won't use, although it's nice to have the option. There aren't any dealbreaking downsides to this TV. We have it in a room that gets a lot of sunlight and we need to close all the curtains to be able to see properly, would be my only issue. Other than that, I've been happy with everything. It's a sleek and sexy unit, the built-in speakers are perfectly fine for basic TV watching, and even the remote it comes with is well designed and changes channels easily.

  I can understand wanting to buy at the lowest possible price, but I can't imagine you'll regret buying this TV for anything under $1000, let alone $900. For us, it didn't make sense to wait because we had just moved and were without any TV at all. Also, if it helps you decide, JB will probably throw in an extra pair of 3D glasses (the TV only comes with one pair), which is what I was offered.
