convert to credit on your FB card in the app. Swipe card at next purchase. Done.

  • There's a new poster at my local Coles saying Officeworks and Bunnings are now part of the Flybuys programme so you may be able to use the credit there.

The redemption rate for Flybuys Dollars and physical gift cards on the Flybuys Rewards Store is exactly the same.

    • You can convert 2,000 Flybuys points into $10 in Flybuys Dollars, which (at the time of writing this post) can be redeemed at Coles, Coles Express, Target, Kmart, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor or mycar.

    • If you opt to redeem your Flybuys points on the Flybuys Rewards Store for physical gift cards, you can redeem 10,000 Flybuys points for a $50 Coles physical gift card, or 20,000 Flybuys points for a $100 Coles physical gift card.

Flybuys Dollars is largely better (in my opinion), as it can be redeemed at multiple businesses (so you have flexibility), plus the Flybuys Dollars can be used for purchases within seconds of converting the points to Flybuys Dollars.

The Coles physical gift card is good in the fact that you can easily gift the gift card to someone else. However, the gift card will be sent to you in the mail, so you’ll be waiting a couple of weeks before you can use the gift card (or gift it to someone else). From past experience, the Coles physical gift card is activated as soon as you redeem the points, so if the gift card is lost in the mail or someone steals it from your letterbox, you’ll need to reach out to Flybuys and hope they will help you.

Something else to consider… Flybuys once had a bonus points deal on the Flybuys Rewards Store where you they would give you back 10% of the points you redeemed on selected physical TCN gift cards, so if you love physical TCN gift cards and don’t mind holding onto your points, that is an option to consider. The bonus is that you have to manually activate physical TCN gift cards once you receive them, but that also means there may be a one or two day delay before you can use them. That deal has only ever happened once, so who knows when it will happen again!
