I purchased the Belong SIM card that is available via the Telstra plus store and I just want to confirm how I transfer my current Telstra number to this new service. I just want to make sure that I follow the correct process and don’t do anything in the wrong order etc

Telstra to Telstra ports are known for being a nightmare
I suggest you do it via live chat.
in the case of Telstra to Belong, its not a "port"
I also got the Telstra Plus Belong sim deal, and I followed the steps on the Belong website, and it was ported over within about 15 minutes, easy as.
Check out the whirlpool forums for how to do it.
I’ve ported from Telstra to Belong without any issue, it was when I ported from Telstra to Boost that there was a special way to do it.
Visit the belong website and follow the steps of activating a sim.
It's very straight forward and next to impossible to stuff up.
