$169.10 with OW price beat guarantee for the AirPods. I actually saw the price on Catch and price matched with the free C&C option.

  • Not as good as the ones with wireless charge case the other day for same price..

    • Yeah I want the wireless charging one now haha

  • Only $22 off on the watch.

  • Don't get the Watch Series 3 unless you know what you're doing. Painful updates vs. not using certain functionalities because of old software.

    • Do you own one? As I do, and it updates to the latest WatchOS and Apps. Have absolutely no issues with it. Functions the exact same as the wife's Series 6 - except for 'Fall' feature.

      • Yeah, I stopped updating it as it doesn't have enough space and requires backing up and reinstalling to have the newest software. I can't be bothered setting it up with my apps, etc., so I can't control the music anymore, but at least it takes calls and counts my steps 🤷

Isn't that the official way to update? Has anything change since that hilarious instruction from Apple?

      • Intrigued by "absolutely no issues with it" and also forced to do so (by updating my phone to iOS 15, so my Watch Series 3 stopped lots of phone-related functions), I decided to give an update a go.

        From my Iphone 8:
        1. It took a couple of minutes to unpair and reset the watch.
        2. It took over 2 hrs to "download" the update vie the iphone "to the watch".
        3. It took about 1 hr to "prepare" the installation (whatever that means, that's what the phone was saying).
        4. It took about 45 mins to "install" the OS.
        5. It took a couple of annyoing screens, including one for entering the App Store password, which Apple makes consistently tedious on any device by not allowing to display what's already typed, so if you have a more complicated password and get a character wrong, you start again.
        6. I can't tell how long it's going to take to get all the apps and settings as they used to be, as I simply can't remember or can't be bothered going through all of it.

After about 3.5 hrs I realised that the watch doesn't need to be charging, contrary to what Apple tells you, so I took it for a walk together with phone.

Overall 4+ hrs of updating + whatever it takes to manually restore the settings. I believe step 3. might be quicker on a newer phone.
