hope the van carries a defibrillator…

    • Not sure what you're getting at. Eating peanut butter has been shown to reduce the risk of heart attack, as the peanuts (and their oil) are actually good for you.

Peanut butter is full of omega-6 fats that distort the omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.

        I'll pass thanks…

I don't get the concept of this product. It is basically peanut butter mixed with the same amount of water and blended. Then it is sold at twice the price for half the amount of peanuts, overpriced by 4 times for something with the consistency of margarine.

Woolworths sell Kraft 375g PB at $2.99, with the same size whipped version at $5.99. http://www2.woolworthsonline.com.au/Shop/ProductDetails?Stoc…

    • they spend a lot of energy to whip it ;)
if you have a good(powerful) blender just buy the peanuts and you can make nice and cheap peanut butter :)

Get in to Coles before Wed and the Whipped PB is only $2.78. Tasty and less calories.

      • Thanks for the tip. Looks like a few people in this thread like the taste, so I'm going to pick up a jar to try :)

  • Why are they using such an old van? That thing looks like it's out of the 1970s.

    • Well I guess it is a play on the Mr. Whipee ice cream vans that used to tour the streets, even the licence plate is "WHIPEE".

      • But the original Mr. Whipee van didn't even look like that, it looked like this:

        • Can't say that I ever saw this one (a 60's version) even though I was around then. I do recall them looking more like a 70's one like the Bedford that Kraft are currently touring with. Must have been the vehicle of choice for operators in my area.

    I wouldn't consider a sample as a bargain.

Perhaps in your haste to be a keyboard warrior, you neglected this:

Wouldn't touch it…will taste like shite

    • Assumed the same but it's on half price at coles this week and I love me some peanut butter, so I grabbed some.
It's just like smooth peanut butter really but not as thick. The taste is still the same.
It's more than just edible for sure.

Agree, I also bought some a while back. It's just a little less thick than normal peanut butter, slightly different consistency but tastes exactly the same. Can really only see the benefit for people who want a peanut butter taste but maybe with a few less calories.

For all the hass involved (taking photos, uploading to FB, going to truck) to get this "bargain" I wouldn't bother.

Plus all your FB friends are going to think you are "nuts".

    • Can anyone post what is in the jar besides peanuts ?

(sorry i only buy ones without all the additives fyi…)

      • +1

        •Selected Roasted Peanuts
        •Soybean Oil
        •Sugar
        •Corn Dextrin
        •Hydrogenated vegetable oil
        •Salt
        •Fancy Molasses

  • ugh, really? this is kinda a waste of space. FYI it actually tastes pretty good

  • Its actually really nice peanut butter for some reason.

It tastes better then the regular kraft peanut butter, but this is probably just me liking the texture of my peanut butter and honey toast :)

    • +3

Wanna know why it tastes better than regular Kraft (ick) peanut butter?
Because it's made in Canada, not Australia/China like regular Kraft products are these days. Also, it's made using molasses, which is what is used in pretty much all American peanut butter (try Peter Pan peanut butter from Woolies, it's cheaper than Kraft but made in the US!!)

  • I bought one from Coles since it's on 50% this week. I like the taste too, and it's very spreadable so that's a bonus.

    • i don't see it in the catalouge

  • Saw this, immediately thought of Sam and Max episode whatever.

  • Where is Stadium park, Sydney Easter show? I am going to the Easter show on 6th
