  Oh noo! Sorry, looks like myself, tallkid123 and hm all entered at the same time. Good for gtk!! Sorry tallkid, seems we used gtk's 3 seconds apart unknowingly. Not sure if there is a good way to fix/avoid this (??)

    To minimize the chance of it happening, refresh just before you click the referral link so you have the most up to date list, then do a single action on the competition (or the minimum required to unlock referral option) and then come back and add your link to the chain before returning to the competition page to finish your entries. Smallest window of opportunity to accidentally use the same code as someone else that way.
    The unfortunate reality is that it is never totally unavoidable but that helps minimize it.
    
    When it happens to me I just leave myself out of the chain, or if it was so close that they posted while I was typing I just edited my comment to remove my link. It sucks to have to miss out on your referral because you were 3 seconds too slow, but it sucks even more to be the one that got in first and then got skipped over through no fault of your own.
