America, 1899

The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

That’s a lot of hunting and fishing. Enjoy!

      • Nice day for fishing ain't it 🎣

The level of detail in this game still astounds me. So well made and worth every $

    • +2

There are so many things to do in the game, I’m not sure what to do. Currently I’m shooting rabbits, searching for treasure, and playing poker.

      • +1

Fishing is great, especially going first person, rowing out at dawn, and trying to catch some fishies. Great fun, relaxing too.

  • Should definitely play even if you haven't played the first, this is considered a prequel anyway. Extremely well made game.

    Quick, before they remaster it.

    • +4

Eh, just wait for the PS6 or PS7 remaster

  • Any improvements if played on PS5?

    • +1

It's not optimized for it at all so will play the same as it did on a ps4 pro

      • Faster load times though, right?

        • +1
          • @DarkLegion: Load times are a lot better but still very slow compared to an actually optimized game, I only played half of it on original xbox one when it was first released, now I'm contemplating buying it again to play on PS5 but rumors they will eventually put out a PS5 version or at least optimize it for frame rate/SSD makes me question if it's worth holding off.

From experience I finished Last of Us 2, 3 days before they released the optimized version haha, was still great but could have been that slight bit better.

    • Rockstar will eventually release an optimised version, and charge you an arm and leg for it.

Why can't we get this kind of price for PC version?

    • Yeah goddamn rockstar. Gonna be waiting a while for these prices judging by how long it took GTA V to drop :/

    • It's cause Australia, somehow, has very competitive pricing. I suspect it got to do with Amazon trying really hard to hold a monopoly into our market. Games that goes for 90 bucks on release in digital stores, are often found for 65-75.

      • Did the competing console games market not exist before Amazon? With Electronics Boutique( JB Hi-Fomi, Target, Big W, Harvey Norman?

        • Not 60 dollars cheap lol. Do you know how many 80 bucks I've paid, only to be punished by the 1 week 15 bucks decrease cause the game didn't sell well?

        • Why do we keep buying more and more online and are quite upset about the Harvey tax (GST on overseas items)?

Amazon is quite formidable. As much I want to support local businesses, it is getting harder as JB simply wouldn't price match Amazon ($2 difference on a $77 item). Amazon price matched all retailers for games (lowest prices) and has ample stock. I was planning to buy some games from JB, but by the time I was there, the store has no stock.

  • thanks mate, just grabbed a copy

  • okay. pulled the trigger this time. with Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection $9.

    all together $38. not bad.

  • +1

thanks OP. got this RDR2 and nathan drake series with my 1st prime membership with CBA mastercard. less $15 with PRIME15 code (which i didnt know about) and 2% cb with giftcards!

Maybe this will be free on epic one day :)

    • A man can dream…

      • Maybe 5 years time lol
But I have enough games waiting to be played that would take longer then 5 years to get through.

  • Cheap at ten times this price.
