Hi all,
Just wondering how I go about identifying a TV Wall mount.
We just moved into a new property, and want to buy a new TV, but the mount has no writing on it at all, and I want to make sure it can take the weight of a large TV.
Thanks

Model may be written on the side screwed to the wall.
I would take the screws out and check that they go into studs first up. If they go into studs you can also check out how long the screws are.
I would then go onto say JB and check out TV wall mounts and find one that looks similar and see how many KG's it can take. If it looks okay then download the manual and check that the bracket has been installed as per the manual and also how you attach the TV to the mount.
The mount looks like it can physically take a large TV as it looks like it's not flimsy steel, but it all depends on the screws and what the screws go into.
It's a fairly standard wall mount. It should be fine with any new TV over 40". What I would be more concerned about is the screws. You have to be careful the screws are not too long and push (when screwed into the TV) push against the inside of the TV. I've seen someonecrack thier screen by screwing them in too far.
Looks similar to a Selby one I installed recently.
Yeah, looks like a Selby one I have installed (done about 3 years ago)
Looks like a brick wall?
I think you can put a big tv on that no problem, plenty of shear strength in those bolts. Frame looks strong.
Yep
