SanDisk Cruzer Extreme PRO 128GB $49.95 Delivered @ Memoski

90

Was looking for a fast USB for general use and came across this for 44.95 AUD at memoski. Seems like a great deal as it is significantly less than RRP anywhere else.

USB seems to be fairly highly regarded on reddit. Only light use so far of copying on a few ISOs on to it, but have to say I have been impressed! Copying across a 2 to 3GB ISO is nearly instant. A world of difference from the 10 year old USB 2.0 drives I was using before.

Note I don't have any experience purchasing from memoski so YMMV with there shipping times etc. I priced matched at Officeworks though with no problems even though they retail it for nearly twice the price Officeworks.

Enjoy!

    What size is it?

  • Only 128gb, no deal..

I think that one is the older version because it's USB 3.1 instead of USB 3.2
    Vs

    • Possibly, its not super clear on the amazon link but the product numbers are slightly different. Amazon link - ‎SDCZ880-128G-GAM46. memoski/Officeworks - SDCZ880-128G-G46.

Either way for my use case I don't think I'd see much difference between 3.2 and 3.1. Near instant transfer of ~3GB files is all I want and 128GB big enough for transferring around files for backups etc.

Obviously won't suit everyone that is after as much speed and space as possible but there are plenty of other options out there for that :)

    • When USB 3.2 was announced in 2017, USB 3.0 and 3.1 has been renamed to USB 3.2. (confusing and may not make sense to everyone, but that's what happened).

        So USB 3.2 Gen 1 is old USB 3.0 (5Gbps);
USB 3.2 Gen 2 is old USB 3.1 (10Gbps); and
        USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 is USB-C only and (20Gbps)?

        Not exactly straight forward…

Cheaper at Amazon, bought mine a couple of months ago for $42.98. Once you buy this you will laugh at all the sub $10 USB sticks.

This one is the Go version which is still very fast but a bit slower than the Pro and plastic.

      • I went with the model number in OP's post which is a Go, not a Pro.

        • +1

No I think the one on that Amazon link is the SCZ800…. which seems to be the go and the one on the memoski and officeworks is the SCZ880…. which is definitely the Pro. Confusing model naming and numbering scheme though.

  • Just got a refund for this. Not sure why?
