Has anyone bought a PC from MSY lately? My PC has horrific cable management with cables just stuffed in random places, cables left unconnected because some connections are partially blocked by other peripherals and just visible cables going here there and everywhere. Was not expecting this from a professional company and am wondering what I can do to get this fixed?

Cable management is surprisingly easy, although actual difficulty can heavily depend on the case and whether or not you have a modular power supply. I have tried to cable manage an old ATX case that has no cable management features (Antec 300 ) but after upgrading to a modern Fractal Design Meshify case, the difference is just night and day.
there are video tutorials on YouTube that teach you how to do it:
JayzTwoCents video length 32 minutes
Bitwit video length 10 minutes
Linus tech tips 8 minutesGenerally speaking you'll need some cable ties. It only costs $6 for a 500-piece pack at Kmart and it's pretty much your lifetime supply of cable ties for cable management. Use them to bunch up cables together and to remove excess slack from wires by tying the cables down to cable management holes on the back of the motherboard tray.
It doesn't matter if the back is ugly since nobody will see it, but it should be neat enough that you can slide the back panel back on.
Awesome thank you mate
I rather use velcro straps.
This is what it can look like when you're done
It is easy after you have done a few, but for first timers, it gets a bit of getting use to, especially on some cases where it is missing cable tie points, and you need to get creative.
Jaycar sell cable ties, sorry forgot SCA are cheaper….
cables left unconnected
If the computer functions then those cables aren't needed, but are permanently attached to the PSU. What do you want them to do with them?
It's a connection that should absolutely be connected but wasn't because they couldn't make the ralestate work
Photo please and details of equipment missing connection.
So what was the cable for?
That doesn't make sense. If it should be connected and isnt.. then computer should not be working.
JUSB3 cable just hanging there because the graphics card is just a tiny bit in the way. I'm buying a slimline extension to make it work. They just put the CPU sticker on the usb port on top of the pc so you couldn't see the port they didn't connect!
Is there a side window on the case?
No - then who cares
Yes - grab some cable tiesCable ties en route!
Yes - mask up the side window
"MSY", "professional company"
really?
.Surely they meant "registered" company
Definitely this, MSY != professional company
If you want soup…. Sinfield….
You must know what you want whey buying from MSY and you mush trouble shoot the hardware in order to get an RMA or support if something dies….. And if MSY are still adhering to the ACCC conditions (twice fined for the same thing and twice put in changes so it would not happen again…….333333).
Trying to be nice….but probs shouldn't be
yep they are the worse you can go with. they are so LAZY I even had to buy a new CPU cooler because one i was using didnt cool at all was running at 90c plus, messaged them and no help.
You gotta be kidding me. Even if you bought it online, did yoy try going to one of their stores to sort it out?
Not sure I'd consider MSY a 'professional company' but to each their own I guess.
Tell me what you want and I'll build it for you. Used to build high end custom system for gaming, IBM Cognos/TM servers and and and…
PM me if you need/want help and do it yourself.MSY isn't what I'd call professional, especially when it comes to service. I only go there to buy components when i know exactly what I want and they are cheaper than elsewhere. The service is never good. I wouldn't trust them to build a PC. This is the Ultimo store in Sydney I'm talking about.
Hopefully the PC you bought was a good price and works fine otherwise.
Cheap cases and non modular power supplies… not too sure if you can do much better
