What Stores Have a Fair Returns Policy for Earbuds?

I am looking to buy Galaxy Buds 2 and was looking through my employer's samsung EPP portal but upon checking they have a ruthless returns policy that the item has to be unopened for a change of mind return to be honoured.

I am very fussy with my earbuds and want to try them for a couple days and was wondering which retailer has a fairer policy on this?

I understand earbuds have sanitary considerations but even if it wasn't that type of product, say for example a phone, a return would still need to go through a thorough cleaning/checking process before it could be resold as refurbished anyways and earbuds are no different in this regard in my opinion.

Do you know of a retailer which might be a bit more realistic with this?

Cheers!

Sony does for the mark 4s.

And apple for everything if you buy direct from apple.

Buy direct from Bose and they have a 90 day trial period, even on earbuds. If you don't like them, fill out the online form, mail them back and get a refund

Ewww earbuds go into your ear, touching your ear wax.

returns policy that the item has to be unopened for a change of mind return to be honoured.

Most stores don't even allow change of mind, nor are they legally required to, so I wouldn't call this anywhere near ruthless.

Just to add its for HEALTH REASONS
Hence once used or even touched they cannot be returned.

And once opened they don't know if they have been used.
And retail stores get no credit or refund from supplier for such returns

CONCLUSION: If you were a retailer under such conditions you too would be ruthless.

Buying direct from supplier is a different story
They have much higher margins built-in and so can afford to take these back and then throw them away!

Lol… Try them for a few day… For ear buds… And let me guess, you are also not the type that you'll buy used or refurbished ear buds because "super gross"?

Would you buy them if you knew someone else who was really fussy had tried them for a few days and returned them?

The cost of refurbing them would be more than the actual cost I reckon.

What Stores Have a Fair Returns Policy for Earbuds?

As far as I'm concerned, all of those stores that refuse a return on opened earbuds. No-one wants the earbuds you've tried for a few days!

    • IF you buy a professional quality sealer, and shrinkwrap machine you can return almost anything.

Pretty cheap for the value you get.

        Fraud is not the answer

        • Sarcasm is though.

        • Of course not.
If it were CommBank would accept Earbuds via ATM Deposits.

      • Spend $528 for a heat shrinker wrap, probably more if it doesn't include the roll of wrap just to return $10 earbuds.

        • TBH I'm surprised some meth-head hasn't thought of this as a giant scam operation yet.

Sounds like you want to RENT earbuds. Why should it be anyone else's problem but your own that you are fussy about your earphones?
I have ended up with plenty of earphones/headphones, bluetooth speakers, shoes, blocks of cheese, etc over the years in my search to find the thing i like.
Would never expect a store to accept a return for anything unless it's actually faulty/defective in some way.

    Fair Returns

try them for a couple days

lol - has to be a troll post

Haha… and you live on the Gold Coast too… remind me not to buy earbuds anywhere with a ‘fair’ return policy any time soon.

Do you know of a retailer buyer which might be a bit more realistic with this?

    FTFY.

No one wants your ear wax.

  • Are U serious ?! U think U should be entitled to return ear buds U had tried but didn't like???? Sure I dare U to return a pair of used undies U didnt like…. I'm sure the retailer will accept them!!!

  • "pair of used undies U didnt like"

What's scary about that suggestion is that given the reach of the 'Nets, there is surely a market for them somewhere if you offer them on-line…

  • Buy them from Amazon. You can return them even if you use them. Also now with extended returns you have until the end of January next year to return them.

      • I've purchased earphones before a few times and have never had any problem returning them. You can contact their live chat if you're worried and they will confirm it.

Amazon has the best return policy there is. I think the only non-returnable products are food products and adult products.

      • I purchased AirPods Max last week. I just checked and was able to initiate a return.
