MECOOL KT1 HDTV Any Good for an Elcrapo TV

Was going to take advantage of the 11.11 sales and update my TV. Old one would freeze and judder all of a sudden just like the old BSOD computer shut down and restart. No good at the end of a match playing
New TV I was going to buy ends up being side lit and have heard light bleed in the corners no good give it a miss.

Brings me to the MECOOL KT1 if that just hooks into the HDMI the the TV doesn't have to do any real work just acts as a monitor?
Youtube are giving some good reports but does anyone here own one? 2GB ram a bit shy or not

    Consider an Amazon FireStick.

      The FireStick has live video (albeit through the internet) for all of the major stations.

    No because I need the tuner TV crashes just watching a station some days 3 times in a couple of hours.

      Vodafone tv
      Foxtel now box

      Both discontinued but check FB/gumtree
