What's your price range (a student's idea of 'affordable' can be quite different from a tycoon's. XD)/what kind of place are you looking for? Service apartment, hotel room, whorh? There're HEAPS of hotel/accomdn sites, and also depends where in Hobart you're gonna be. I don't have much experience doing this, but I'm hunting for accomdn around the same time too, and I've found it's best to shop around. :) Favourite resource is definitely http://www.hotelclub.com.au, though. Not really for the prices, though they seem mostly decent, but worth looking at just to see the picchers and reviews.
If you're using a moneyback thingo like Buckscoop or MoneyBackCo, check out which merchants they're associated with, as well. You might be able to get a good $20 back from the deal. :) G'luck!
