Weren't the Kmart ones with the fan exhaust at the bottom that was cracking bench tops?
Well I haven't had that issue. I do use an IKEA round chopping board placed under the fryer. Came out as a perfect size match, probably protects and is easier to pull the fryer closer when using and then push it back when done.
These are awesome and great value at this price.

100% worth it. I bght this unit couple months ago. And its amazing! Super fast and super efficient.
I am using the Kmart 7L one and that is pretty good too. Costs 1/3 the price.
If you've had a Phillips you cant go to a cheap airfryer, you simply won't be happy. Those who have only ever had a cheap airfryer live in blissful ignorance and will be happy with it.
Fair enough…. Although sold out on this offer one thing I hate about my current phillips is the mesh basket just gets gunky over time and it's impossible to clean.
I have an air fryer, it's called a fan-forced oven ;) (sits tight for the down votes)
How long does it take to preheat?
Probably 7 mins, which I am sure is longer, but that's because it's also much bigger, so I can cook a lot more in it than an air fryer. I guess these are good for small meals?
I'm happy to still use the oven though as I don't want other appliances laying around and always need more room than what an air fryer offers for cooking, but I can see why some people might have a use for them.
Not long if you get a good one and fits a lot more food. Also allows for other types of cooking.
Inefficient when you only need to cook a bowl of frozen French fries. I get that you can cook alot more french fries though….
I think I eat hot chips maybe once every 2 months, but I guess if you're eating a bowl of them often enough, it could save you a few dollars a month in electricity, which could be a reason for one.
I have 2 ovens, side by side, so that's how much cooking room I need to bake meals (sometimes), depending on the number of people I'm cooking for.
Yeah nah… I thought the same but bought the cheap and cheerful Mistral one to see what life is like with an airfryer. Now I question how on earth I got through adulting without an air fryer.
