Best Cheap Multi Cooker (Pressure Cooker)

Hi

I am looking at purchasing my first multi function pressure cooker and was wondering if anyone here has one and can share their experience with it. There are so many choices that it can be a little overwhelming. (looking for a relatively cheap one)

Thank you

Best for long term use try to buy ones without a nonstick coating for the bowls like the instant pot as the coating usually wears off after awhile. Other than that for price just wait for prime day or like the upcoming Black Friday usually they have sales for instant pots. Also how many are you planning to cook for?

  • Someone just shared this on the Philips Aio Facebook page

Hi, I've been looking to buy the 8ltr Philips and was waiting for a good price to come up. After reading someone's post about a $100 Philips cash back through David Jones, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. As I have a DJ close by I went in, and to my surprise, not only is the cash back on offer but it was cheaper in store than online!
So for the 8ltr with discount and cash back it worked out $169.00!!!
    So a great result 👏👏👏
If anyone is considering, I think this is a good time to buy it.

  • We have an instapot and it pretty good. Only issue is the rubber seal around the lid does capture the smell of the last thing you cooked.

The smell is an issue on the rubber seal in all brands

    • I watched a video about this as I just purchased one two weeks ago. Mine came with two rings and was suggested to use one for rice and the other for strong smelling dishes. Also after cooking remove the ring and let it air out or even wash it. Also to flip the lid upside down after cooking and washing. Doing this with the ring/lid is supposed to help prevent strong scents and even mould. I thought this was good advice so I thought I would share :)

DIY research is pretty lazy these days.

    • Well… There is a lot of crap out there. It's hard to know what's real as far as reviews and recommendations go, and what's not.

I think that's what this forum's for, really.

    • Not always… The market is filled with hundreds of choices and not much info is available and too much time wasted on research instead.
