isn't this advertisement instead of deal? Comes very often

    • +2

      Hi Mate,

As you can probably see, we have been mixing up the components depending on availability. Can't an advertisement and a deal be the same thing?

      Cheers

      Nathan

Yes, It can mean the same thing. By that logic, even spam means the same thing.

        • Hi mate,

We are just trying to expand the company and throw people a deal when we can? Think of it as an early Christmas present. Is that so bad?

          Cheers

          Nathan

@Nathan94: A nice early Christmas present would be a Fronius inverter.. :D

            • @Krazyy: Hey mate,

We can try and sort something out for you. send me a private message with a few details.

              Cheers

Not sure about NSW, but in WA, the rebate is $0.03 per kw export before 3pm and $0.1 after 3pm , which makes the breakeven period very long for a low power usage household.

    • Hey mate,

In NSW it is currently 0.1c, yes it may take a 'little longer for breakeven period, but don't forget, the solar system isn't just a 3-4-5yr investment, it's a 25yr investment.
Whether you're collecting FIT or not, you are still saving on your power which still gains the return.

      Cheers

And one more problem, when everyone around your house have solar systems and nobody is at home to use that power, the grid voltage get pushed up so high, some inverters which cannot produce high enough voltage will just simply stop working.

    • admittedly in WA our initial installation rebate is higher.
just the ongoing buyback is woeful

    • I'm in NSW and get 15c/kw 24/7.

      • Who are yo with? My current provider does 7c :(

        • AGL - distributor is Essential Energy.

  • Are you an approved solar retailer through the Clean Energy Council or do you just employ accredited installers..

    • Hi Mate,

All of the installers on our books are accredited CEC installers.

  • Roughly how much extra would it cost to install on a two storey house that has 3phase aircon?

    • +1

      Hey mate,

So $300 for double storey and $690 for 3 phase inverter upgrade

      Cheers

      Nathan

  • How much roughly would the following system(already have 3 phase) cost:

    1 × Fronius Symo 8.2-3-M · 8200 W
    21 x 390W Hanwha Q CELLS Q.PEAK DUO - Q.PEAK DUO ML-G9+390
    1x Fronius Smart meter

And if I want 25 of the same panels instead of 21, what are cost for this?

    • hey mate,

send me a private message with the following details and we can see what we can do for you.

      first and last name
      mobile number
      email address
      install address
      single or 3 phase
      grid connector, ausgrid? endeavour?

      Cheers

      Nathan

    • I have Q-cell (6.2kw) and Fronius (5kw) installed in 2018, it’s really reliable and I still get the maximum 5kw in peak hour.

      • you certainly went with a good package that's for sure

  • This seems very cheap. Isn’t solar a ‘you get what you pay’ sort of thing?

    • Hi mate, It certainly is a bit of a deal isn't it. We certainly can offer the 6.6kW systems with the premium of premium of components if that's what you're after. As you can imagine, not a lot of people want to spend 5k+ on a system, we try to cater for every persons budget.

      Cheers

I am ozbargain user since 2011. I called Nathan when I saw his post last month and got a quote on the next day. Paid deposit and get installed last Mon for a 6.6kw 18 panels. The whole process is very smooth, no trouble at all. Now my solar panels generates 40kwh on the sunny day, very happy with the outcome.

    • Hi there,

The team and I at Synergy are glad to hear that you're happy with the service so far. Please reach out to me/us whenever you need. I am sure you have my number.

      Cheers

Let's not forget the soon to arrive government sun tax.

    • Hey mate,

You're not wrong at all. It's a shame isn't it?! Personally, I can't understand why they're doing it.
But my recommendation is install a hybrid inverter now for when batteries get cheaper.

    • What is this about? Can you give me details

      • The government is about to start charging for FIT's (not exactly sure when sorry) personally what i'd recommend, (to save costs later) is install a hybrid inverter now (battery ready inverter) so you can just buy a battery later and just plug it in when it is cheaper

        • Pretty sure it's not until 2025 at least.

          • @cv05: fingers crossed right!

        • If they charge for fit.. couldn't you just disable it?

  • Absolute noob in this space but have been interested in this since buying a house.

Is the return on investment seriously made within 2 years? According to their site.

Seems too good to be true, in which case it usually is.

    • hey mate,

if you added a battery (to support your power of a night time) than yes, the ROI would be roughly 2yrs give or take

      • Rough cost with a battery, three phase single story setup?

Saw it was $3k+ $690 for three phase. Batteries sound pricey

        • hey mate, batteries are pricey, but you also need to install a hybrid inverter (battery ready) instead of your standard string inverter.

This definitely puts the cost up. but it saves you having to pay for the standard inverter now, plus a hybrid inverter and x2 the labour.

if you went hybrid inverter now, (with the thoughts of battery later) you would probably save yourself 4-5k

  • Question. Could I just install a system with sufficient batteries and disconnect from the grid entirely?

Is this something that can be done?

    • No reason why it can't be done. But plan for the 3 consecutive really shit weather days and your batteries run out

  • Can you combine solar panels with swimming pool heating? Any company that does both together at a good price?

    • 9.5KW Solar System - Estimated Annual Production 14,722 kWh
    • Solar Panel 25 x 390W Hanwha Q Cells Q Peak Duo 1840mm x 1030mm Monocrystalline
    • Inverter 25 x Enphase IQ7A-72-2-INT 1 phase 96.5% max efficiency

Getting quote for above Solar setup for $13k

Is it reasonable price? Anyone done solar in this capacity? Thoughts?

    • Hi Op/Nathan94, any thoughts on this? Or any better deals/options from you? We are < 30kms Prestons, NSW, 2170

      • hey mate,

If you could get me the following below we are more than happy to send out a proposal for you

        first and last name
        mobile number
        email address

        grid connector, ausgrid? endeavour?

        Cheers

        Nathan

    • 6.6kw
    • Trina or Jinko or Longi Panel
    • Fronius 3 phase 5w Inverter
    • double storey house

    $4900 in Sydney

    Is this ok?

    • hi mate,

i have just emailed you another proposal with the following options you requested.

      Thanks

      Nathan

  • Can you also do 15-20kw installations on top of 5-6 storey appartments to power common areas/elevator power with offset to grid? What will be a rough estimate? Have you had similar experience before?

    • hey mate,

We absolutely can! Send me a private message with some details and I will get in touch with you.

      Cheers

      Nathan
