  might seem a dumb question ….i donut use shave bowl, wet the face with a brush - get some soap on the brush, lather on the face …..seems easier than washing a shave bowl and making more lather than i need ….. what do people do with the shave bowls, put the soap puck in it , or just use for lathering, or use for lathering and don’t rinse ?

    You get a better, finer lather which will give you more glide. Try using a mug as a shave bowl to see the difference. I bought a tea bowl from AliExpress as a shave bowl, got one the right size, way cheaper and much better looking than an actual shaving bowl.
