Agreed. I'm still rocking MX300s from my i5 2500k build. I've got 3 in there and have had no issues.
Cheapest the MX500 2TB has been for a while. waiting for sub200 though :)
I'm happy with my MX500 2TB drive as well. Worked great in an old 2012 Mac mini!
If it wasn't for me holding out for 4TB or 8TB QLC drives for a game drive, I would pick another one of these up at this price point. For those who can't use QLC, this is a steal.
Any of these good for a ps5
As internal drives? No, none are compatible.
No, unless simply for external storage. Internal requires a Gen4 drive and even then you need to tread carefully.
I use one of these as external drive on PS5 for storing PS4 games.
not as internal, okay as external
these are good internal ssd: https://www.techradar.com/au/best/best-ssd-for-ps5
Upgrading my MX300 750gb ssd that I've had for over 5 years, hope this performs just as well!
You wont notice any difference :)
get nvme if you can instead of this.
why?
Crazy speeds that most won’t notice.
much more noticeable going from mx300 to m2 nvme than to mx500 sata ssd
I bought some MX500 250GB 2 years ago with almost that price for 1TB now. I would consider MX500's good value SSDs which can revive old laptops and PCs.
Does anyone know what are the criteria's to qualify for free shipping?
I think if you check the checkouts it should list it all there. Free shipping and the discount. Just doesnt show in the cart.
Is it just me or does that looks like an old style Metcard?
Does the ssd come with a cloning software? My current Crucial 500gb ssd is running out of space, hence looking to upgrade to the 1Tb or 2TB unit.
What is the easiest way to upgrade without having to re-install anything? TIAMacrium Reflect
Finally bought the 2TB after a bit of wait :)
Good everyday drives, been running some for years. Recommended for the price.
