    12 months prepaid is $324 not $65.

    I suspect that's Now $324 ?

      Ty!

  • Their website says the deals include alcohol, brewing equipment etc…is it a gradual release sale as I can only see the coffee.

    • +1

Yes there is a timer so you know when the next deal is.

      • Brilliant - thank you

  • Wide Awake or Orthodox … how do these compare vs Inglewood Sunset Blvd?

    • +1

Have tried Orthodox and Sunset Blvd. My personal preference is Orthodox. Its stronger in flavour which i prefer. I use it for lattes and found sunset blvd quite weak

    • +2

Wide awake has been our favourite coffee so far
We enjoyed sunset blvd but would take wide awake over orthodox any day of the week (our pref)

  • +2

$27/kg for the subscription for those wondering.

  • I really liked the St Ali wide awake blend but after trying the airjo Sumatra blend in their last deal I think I’m hooked on that now. 😬
Good price though if you want to lock in to the one blend for a year though

  • +1

Still working my way through their cold brew goon sacks. Such good value. Will pull the trigger on any deals they have for those.

    • +2

Keep an eye out for cold brew deals coming soon ;)

    • +1

Got 2 sacks during their last sale, tip top stuff!

  • +1

Would be great if you could switch blends month to month, to help settle on a "favorite".
Without having tasted them in past it's a bit of a tall order to commit to 12 months though I'd have confidence that St Ali would do good coffee as a whole.

    • I would like to know if I can switch blend month to month.
1 whole year to commit 1 blend is very boring. Although it’s really good deal.

  • How's their Italo Disco capsules compared to Orthodox capsules?

    • +2

      Hi there!
Orthodox is our most popular blend and Italo Disco is our darkest, strongest blend. Great for milky coffee as it cuts through well!

  • Anyone know if its possible to delay the start of the 12 month subscription option by a few weeks?

    • +1

Sure can. Just email [email protected] after you purchase and we'll sort it out :)

    • I emailed them about this but my first delivery is already on the way. But they said they can delay the second month.

  • +1

Love to get it sorted for 12 months. But could the deliveries be slight delayed in the middle, if we are travelling overseas etc? πŸ€”

    • Hey there! Sure thing, just shoot an email through to [email protected] with all your details and travel dates

  • Thanks OP.

I've only tried the Wide Awake Blend, but it's definitely part of my top 3 together with Coffee Alchemy - Goodness Galileo/Hairy Chest Blends or The Grounds of Alexandria - Beanstalker Blend.

But have purchased the 1 year subscription.

  • Can you delay the first shipment? I have 2kg just in

    • Sure can, just send us an email via [email protected] with your order number

      • Thanks, but getting "card decline" error on your checkout.
Both with Amex and prepaid Visa.
        Anyone else getting this?

        • hey there! we can't see any issues from our end, could you please try clearing your cookies/cache and trying again?

          • @canecuttter: Today I was checking my Amex account and see $324 charged by St Ali, as well as $324 charged to my debit visa.

      • I sent an email - no response, updated subscription to the same yesterday.

        Shipment notification today.

        • +1

Yes having the same issue. Sent multiple emails yesterday and today but no response. I had even changed the first date to Dec in the subscription page, but just rec'd message advising it has been despatched. Its disappointing.

        • Yes, same happened to me. First delivery just turned up.

  • Different computer - no luck
    amex - would not accept
prepaid visa - would not accept
visa debit card - only one that worked.

    Got there in the end.
    Thanks

  • I have heard some pretty good things about St Ali. However never tried, would there be an option to swap blends if I am really not satisfied? Don't really want to be stuck with coffee I don't enjoy for a whole year.

    • 100% - If you really don't like the coffee (which we doubt !) we can change it out for another blend for the duration of the subscription. However, we can't swap it out more than once per subscription. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us via [email protected]

      • +3

@canecutter there really needs to be a more flexible option to change the blend. It is clear that customers want to try different blends, this comes up in every St Ali thread about subscriptions.

Give people what they want to change subscription easily so
        1. customers commit to 12 months and you get paid ie. profit vs spending less or not at all
        2. discover data in what blends people try & stick with + allowing them to find what works for them ie. customer retention
        3. you can make recommendations for adjacent new blends & products to keep customers interested, engaged ie. upsell
        4. you can understand which direction people's preferences are heading in to plan new blends ie. future product development

I've been on a St Ali subscription for a year and changed blends often. If you're saying it's no longer an option, I'm out.

        • Probably is an option normally, seems pretty reasonable that they aren't offering switching given the discount.

I'm not sure what you think the margin on good coffee is after it's been roasted packed and shipped to the customer, but I think you're probably overestimating it.

This is less than Vittoria and Grinders at Woolworths.

          • +1

@Bargain Slut: Read my response. I was already on a 12 month subscription, which was at same discount level; I was able to swap blends all the time; and yes it was delivered.

What does something as simple as changing blend have to do with product quality vs other brands, shipping etc?!

            • +3

@tommypickles: I agree. I like to try different blends every month. Since StAli can offer same price for for their blend why not give customers flexibility to manage themselves and swap blends anytime they want?
I am sure that will attract more customers to lock-in for 1 whole year.

              • @Icyfire: Agree - I was close to considering this but I just can't commit to 12 months for same blend which I may or may not like (or get bored with). If flexibility was there I'd jump on this.

            • @tommypickles: I did read your response and you stated you were on a subscription, not a discount subscription, which is why your comparison did not make sense to me.

What does something that simple have to do with it? the administrative costs probably add up depending on how they are set up. If they've offered this in the past they might have assessed it and decided it wasn't worth it - this is still a great deal even if it isn't the exact deal you would want.

What does that have to do with product quality vs other brands, shipping etc? This is like $27 a kilo, this is well below speciality coffee prices seems reasonable to me that there are some T&Cs on it. No guarantees that I can reliably source something that good, that cheap throughout the whole year.

I'd understand if this was a full price subscription and people had a whinge about it, if you want that level of variety and flexibility it's reasonable to expect that there is some cost involved.

Some of the feedback on deals is often just not a commercially viable suggestion, or assumes that we as a bargain hunting community know more about running a successful business than the operator does, when most of us on here are hunting for a purchase at price points that are completely unsustainable. I'm fine with all of that, its why I'm here too, but realistic feedback seems a reasonable expectation.

      • Thanks, I have been told that it's pretty good. However I think it would be great to enable people to change more than once, not every month tho. Part of specialty coffee for me is trying new stuff, not having the same every month.
